@@kamilmusalat I see this as targeting the market that the likes of Bolin Webb established, which is the ultra premium. Similarly why do people buy Bollinger Champagne when they could buy Cava or Prosecco which uses the same 'method traditional' to make but is not from the champagne region in France? Answer is the branding, and image, although customers would often say otherwise.
@kamilmusalat

Geek Of Shaves I understand your comparison but i honestly can’t compare this to it. This isn’t the same as this will not be perceived as that valuable by most customers, whereas the champagne is. Then run your razor under the hot water for few seconds, then shave. Try it for 6/7 shave and I hope the spots will go. My spots disappeared completely since i stopped using the shaving foam.

What does the heated bar add to the shaving experience, is it just the sensation of having a hot towel wet shave or simply just a warm bar running across the face? I guess what I’m asking is what does it add in terms of enjoyment to the experience
@GeekOfShaves
5 жыл бұрын
It's a good question. In short, human skin likes it when a warm (not very hot) item runs across it, so it does have a nice sensation. I dont think it necessarily adds to the effectiveness, but as an occasional shave and part of a pampering routine it does feel nice. So I would say it's for occasional use, bit like a spa day is nice, but you wouldn't do it every day.

Hi, Geek of Shaves I've had this razor as a Christmas present 🎁 last year in 2020 and I agree with you on that it is very stylish and the warming bar is very sensational to have as a personalised choice but I love the warmthness because it reminds me of going into the barbers and have a hot towel on my face so relaxing 😌 Plus you can however get this razor what a option charging case if you want to travel anywhere or just to keep it in for easy storage and its magnetic 🧲 as you put it away because as you see I can feel a good strong pull to the magnet also when you close the case up the light of the heating razor pulses and with the door close there is a slit of the case that you can see it pulsate inside the case its very cool 😎 by the way love the review! 👍

A Ferrari is faster, looks great, gives fun on the free way, etc. etc. In total, it's a way better car. It's €200,- here, so a bit cheaper, and my brother uses it and I tried it out. Personally I think it's a bs product. And an actual rich person, does he care about spending this on shaving? I wouldn't call myself rich, but I do pretty well. Mike Rose: I started shaving with a safety razor a year ago. Best decision I've ever made as shaving goes. 15 cents a blade and a better more comfortable shave. I'll never go back to disposables, cartridges, or electrics again. And to the people reading this if you're worried about getting cuts going to a safety razor all there is is a small learning curve once you get past that you'll have the best shape of your life

That’s why I started Traditional WetShaving with a safety razor !* I have a *1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable* cartridge blades Provoke tugging, ingrown hair‘s, redness, and irritation not to mention expensive !!! safety razors use double edge blades that are cost-effective, better for your skin, and provide a better shave I suggest you invest in a shaving brush and some good artisan shave soap

Thanks for posting this GoS, but really, Gillette is dabbling into the realm of the absurd with these razor designs. It looks like it could double as an oil filter wrench. Give me a 1960 Adjustable 195 and a Treet carbon steel blade and I'm good to go.

Good advert for C&A Plastics - are they sponsoring you now lol Or as I surmise do you work there? You coulndnt recommend a decent clear roof fascia and bonding adhesive could you? >'p) £199 WOTTTT I think I just messed ma pontaloons! Some people will actually buy it as well - costs £5 to make what a markup - wot a mug if you buy into it! Problem with all these gizmos is they dont last long the water and rust just buggers them right up. I got one of those Multi blade razors with the battery and vibrating head - bloomin useless the vibration made the shave more difficult and it stopped working after a month. Wot next 7 blades with inbuilt heated french tickler. No wonder they take the jimmy out of Gillette and its multi blades they try so hard each year to bring out another gimmick to keep their sales up! Give it 3 months dude then do a re-review and tell us if it has gone up the Khyber - I put 100 nicker on it! Or next time yer in Glasgow I will buy you a pint! Cant say fairer than that!

As for what's next, I just seen that fusion flexball havenow also introduced a vibrating handle. I also here on the grape vine that the Mach 3 is finally getting a flex ball version too.

@@GeekOfShaves Yeah flexball is that the best they can do - you know its not going good when they start sticking old gizmos on even older razors - I have the mach 3 its a terrible handle especially for shaving yer back as I do - my fave razor handle has to be the gold and black GILLETTE PROGLIDE with the 1/2p shaped rounded end on the handle - its so much more ergonomic than the staright and boring mach3 zero ergonomic handle. Crikey who would have though on a Sunday night I would be talking Shaving Razor ergonomics haha I know you like the Gillette Mach3 but the blades go blunt very quickly for me - perhaps you should add that to your reviews - how long do the blades last is an essential point bearing ion mind the cost of them - not that i pay for them but i feel others pain lol New Gillette flexball eh but does it have the inbuilt French tickler or detacheable Orange whopper? Now that would be an innovation to get the ladees into the hobby >;o)
