I really lost it when I saw this video it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and heard. This beautiful creature inside and out is the most insanely talented female singer that I have ever witnessed and I am almost 70 years old and I have heard female vocalist from the late 1800s early 1900s all the way up until the present, and I am including all of the greatest female vocalist I have ever heard, and I’ve heard them all. This beautiful creature, this extraordinarily rare gem surpasses them all, I’ve never seen anyone like her that can affect so many people the way she can, seriously I mean it! The power she has upon her listeners when she appears and begins to open her mouth it’s like the power of the Holy Spirit that separates and raptures the spirit within our bodies, raising, or lifting us up, GOD KNOWS WE NEED IT! Something a billion times beyond GOB SMACKED, GOD SMACKED ! Now I am sure the Voice of God is music !

Angie makes the stories very nostalgic & modern at the same time, Thank you Candice. Angie's concert just dropped “I have Nothing” by Whitney Houston kzitem.info/news/bejne/oqeqr4qPf5ySo4Y Live concert 6-22-22. Allsang på Grensen 2022 in Norway.Angie’s (16). I Love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his wife Priscilla & daughter Lisa Marie & Angie growing up too. Angie really out did herself on this one. She put in a lot of Elvis references, really amazing the respect & homage she paid to Elvis. Angie really blew this one away. I love what she did with this story This was filmed in the same place that she did “My funny valentine” at Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA. There's a picture of (age about 1-2) baby Lisa Marie Presley on a golden couch like Angie's cousin sat on with a white dress. There was one of Lisa also (when she’s about 3) with white dress & she had curls like Angie’s other cousin Athena had (from her uncle Michael's kids). Plus it acted as a double for us watching Angie growing up. Her sister Juilette was the older one in the white dress like Angie was in, when she was 10-12 before she changed at 13 & her, her mom Sara & grandma Mery made clothes for her performances. The black jumpsuit & red guitar is for the welcome back tour in 1968. The hair was for Priscilla his wife. Chandeliers, mirrors & furniture was for Graceland, the Piano player Rob Christie wearing red like Elvis band members & you'll even see that Angie's (Elvis stance) put her leg out & bent like Elvis did. Angelina did a lot of homework & paid a lot of respect & gave us a lot of Easter eggs & there’s still more. As she usually does on her videos. Angelina is just amazing, beyond words & other singers/writers/artists/people. {She's Angelina Jordan Astar} The barefoot Angel with a 1000 voices. also Angie's concert dropped “Bohemian Rhapsody” written by Queen kzitem.info/news/bejne/taeD1613ol-Tppg Live concert 6-22-22. Allsang på Grensen 2022 Angie’s owned version.

👏👏👏👏Excellent analysis of the song. Actually I feel Angelina does this with every song she sings. I'm 67 and so many songs I just "listened" to throughout my life, but this young lady pulls you in and shares the experience of what the song really means. When i first started listening to her, I said, "It's almost like the song whispers to her and says, 'Sing us the way we were meant to be sung' and she does". No matter about that, but if you had told me years ago that when I was 67 years old, a 16 year old girl would be my favorite singer, I would have laughed, yet here we are...

Rundown on Angelina Jordan Jordan was born in Oslo, Norway, and has lived for extended periods both there and in Los Angeles. She also lived for a time in the Middle East. She has a younger sister who has been featured in two of her music videos. Her father, Gerry Christian Slattman, is Swedish. Her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar, is the daughter of Iranian artist and poet Mery Zamani and a Japanese father. Jordan attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training and piano lessons. In addition to singing and playing the piano, she plays violin, guitar and flute, and also paints.[32] As of 2020, she was living and going to school in Los Angeles. With Republic Records In 2019, Jordan performed for former president Barack Obama and other public figures at the Brilliant Minds conference in Stockholm. In October 2019, she competed in the second season of America's Got Talent: The Champions, which was aired in January and February 2020.Her first appearance on the show, singing an original arrangement of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", received a "golden buzzer" from judge Heidi Klum (meaning that Jordan would pass directly into the finals). As with her Norway's Got Talent audition six years earlier, a video of Jordan's performance began to go viral on KZitem, quickly reaching 10 million viewsThe performance also garnered praise from Queen's official Twitter accountShortly afterwards, the video was taken down and Jordan released a studio version of the same arrangement under her own copyright.Jordan's second performance (in the finals), a similarly reworked "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" based largely on a version by Sara Bareilles, was also well received, but she was not among the top 5 acts. In August 2020, Jordan's manager (her uncle, Michael Astar) announced that she had signed with Republic Records. Her first single on the label, "Million Miles", was released on 6 November 2020, on all major digital platforms. An official lyric video was posted to her official KZitem channel the same day.The track was produced by the Norwegian duo Stargate, Sam Smith Rihanna and Beyoncé who also co-wrote the song with Jordan. She has since released two additional music videos for the song: one showing her singing the song "live" in a recording studio, the other an "official music video" featuring her younger sister.

Isn't that really Angelina's gift? To take a song back to what it really means? To focus on the emotional content of the lyrics and how they are supposed to make us feel? And she does it so well. Another reactor says that Angelina takes a little bit of her soul and chucks it at you. To be sure, I have regularly been reduced to tears by hearing her delivery of songs I've heard hundreds of times before. And that is what art is all about. Reaching people on levels they didn't even know they had, touching and moving them in ways they did not expect. That is Angelina's art.

Elvis produced this during a time when record producers had more , far more, influence in the studio. Labels had to ride on trends and the jangle pop of Vegas swinger style was big then. Even Bobby Darrin and Country's Buck Owens all donned Liberace-esque attire and bounced around regardless of the context of the song. As long as it sold albums. Now we have KZitem and artists can find their audience with a microphone, piano and a gift. She's walking into adulthood with a catalog of pure gold. 99% of everyone who hears her is moved, it's quite a phenomenal event. Seeing people's real reactions as they become enraptured byher voice is amazing. It may be rumor but current pop stars were asked about her and one said, we're afraid. She simply has it all.

Thank you for another excellent and heartfelt reaction to Angelina. The song was written by Mark James. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, he is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." and, in my mind, Angelina's rendition is much truer to the lyrics than any other singer, including Elvis. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. I paste below the order in which Angelina sung the verses. "Suspicious minds" Angelina Jordan - lyrics rearranged. (1) Oh let our love survive I'll dry the tears from your eyes Let's don't let a good thing die When honey, you know I've never lied to you (2) We're caught in a trap I can't walk out Because I love you too much baby (3) Why can't you see What you're doing to me When you don't believe a word I say? (4) We can't go on together With suspicious minds And we can't build our dreams On suspicious minds (5) So, if an old friend I know Stops by to say hello Would I still see suspicion in your eyes? (6) Here we go again Asking where I've been You can't see these tears are real I'm crying (Yes, I'm crying) (7) We can't go on together With suspicious minds And we can't build our dreams On suspicious minds (8) Oh let our love survive I'll dry the tears from your eyes Let's don't let a good thing die When honey, you know I've never lied to you

What a great reaction with great comments. I'm looking forward to your next one. Angelina was 16 years old for this beautiful performance. As always, Angelina makes me feel her music more than from any other artist. If you are like most reactors, you do very well educating viewers as to how to support your own channel. I suggest you provide the same education for support of the artist. Most viewers have no idea of how important this is for enhancing artists' and reactor algorithms, and increasing exposure, especially if artists are working with record labels like Angelina is with Republic. As the educator, not only do you help propel your Channel and her career, but you also enable Angelina to further use her platform for her humanitarian goals. If you have not already done so, please provide links to the original video and Angelina's channels, and encourage fans to watch, like, comment, and subscribe to those links, as you suggest they do for your own channel. (Thanks for providing the links already). This creates equal priority for artists and reactors. There are already a few hundred reaction channels following these guidelines. For your benefit, this should increase subscriptions from fan loyalty. Also, although no guarantees, we hope that once the vast majority implement these suggestions, record companies may also ease up on their copyright restrictions. Peace.

A J is always taking things up a notch and this in no exception. I have watched this performance many times doing various reactors post . One of them mentioned all the plethora of symbolisms Angelina and her Grandmother Merry had in this video. They are both extremely artistically creative. I had only noticed up until then only the trappings that reflected the tribute to Elvis and his '68 come back tour. However after that comment I began to see things in the lyrics that, whether on purpose or just providence, that were quite astounding. The four scenes of the little girls all wearing the white dresses, some say are a metaphor of Angelina's rise to stardom and the fulfillment of her life time dreams as a very small child, of which she has fulfilled 99% them quite quickly in her short time here and I quite agree with that observation. But I began to notice something in the words of the song as each scene of the little girls in white dresses girls were shown, which was seemingly planned by some one for sure. The first one, a very small baby sitting in a big chair in which she no doubt could not get out on her own and , she was grabbing something with her left hand that looked like some kind of restraint to hold her down from falling out . The lyrics sung for this scene was, " Caught in a trap" The next one shows a little older girl whom evidently who just learned to walk and was kind of unsure of her steps walking and the lyrics sung " I cant walk out ". Then the next one shows the little girl spinning around and kind of looking around and the lyrics " Why can't you see what you are doing to me" . Then the scene changes to show a little older girl going around with her head up and looking around, you can see her hair is not as curly as the previous little girl who spinning around before. ( P.S. this third girl turning around and looking up may have well been her little sister whom was sitting in the chair at the end of these scenes). Then there is the much older little girl (her sister) in a white dress again sitting in a chair as the baby was in then first scene , she was looking down and raised her head as the lyrics said, "when you don't believe a word I say" and then she raises her head with a smile as if to say with a look I don't believe what you say. Angelina and her Grandmother are Rembrandt's of video and and Angelina of vocal artistry .

I love his voice so powerful, warm and delicate at the same time and I keep moving, every time. Angelina has always been wonderfully engaging, but now her voice gets warmer and deeper each time and her slower version of this iconic song is truly fantastic, for me much closer to the emotion of the lyrics than Elvis's version. 💛🧡❤️ If you like, this is two day ago, her new version of "I Have Nothing" (Allsang på Grensen 2022). Amazing how much this girl has improved on this song ... she changed it in her own splendid way and now she has absolutely no trouble with the breath. 😂 kzitem.info/news/bejne/oqeqr4qPf5ySo4Y

Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great and it always was, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammes), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. 🙂

I absolutely loved your analysis Candace. This ability to understand the lyrics of a song anew after Angelina sings it is a trait that is so common among so many of her covers. BTW, this video was produced by Angelina’s grandmother (Mery Zamani) and I love how she managed to include her other three grandchildren in the glorious, moving production. The two young girls are Angelina’s cousins (the daughters of her uncle [and manager]), and the oldest girl is Angelina’s sister (who she has referred to numerous times as “the love of my life”). Like her music, Angelina’s family is beautiful. 🫶 🖤👣

Yes, exactly. Angelina is a storyteller. She gives life to the lyrics we’ve heard so many times before, but never paid much attention to. And add to that her amazing voice that gives us both power and breathiness that work so well to deliver the message of these lyrics. Every songwriter should want Angelina to cover his or her songs. Her voice is uniquely beautiful, and she makes those lyrics come alive in a way that we relate to our own lives. One of Angelina’s greatest gifts is her ability to connect so immediately and personally to each of us as individuals.

So funny, the word "breathtaking" was running around in my head, while I watched your reaction, and that was the first thing you said! So nice that you emphasize her emotional part of the performance. The choking (talking about breathtaking ;-) ) atmospehere in a relationship where suspicion and jealousy hides behind every corner! She could easily be an actress too! The video is full of layers and symbolism as a tribute to The King. The leather suite, the guitar he used, the beehive hairdo of his wife Priscilla etcetera! It's almost unfair, all the talent, her skills, her voice ... Soothing, comforting and captivating and able to give a rich musical experience without a full band or orchestra or choir! Thanks!!!

Candace, I think It’s safe to say that Angelina’s highly sensitive intuition allows her to be an outstanding story teller. The covers she sings are arranged to allow her to interpret the lyrics as she thinks the writer intended them to be. I also find myself listening to every word of the lyrics, for the first time when Angelina sings. Angelina’s grandma, Mery Zamani is the executive producer of this video. The two smallest girls are Angelina’s uncle Michael’s daughters. The older girl is Angelina’s younger sister, Juliette. There is gold, There is platinum. There is diamond. Then there is, Angelina, a very rare and precious gem.

What a wonderful reaction Candice. Your face said it all from the moment Angelina opened her mouth. Those first lyrics hit like a ton of bricks. Your comments throughout were well wonderful. This is by far one of my favorite reactions and I have bumped you up to the top of my list of reactors. Thank you so much. This arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt. She is a Master Storyteller. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She cab bring tears to your eyes. Epic. Incredible. There are no words. Epic! Wow, Wow, Wow! Could it be more Beautiful? ♥👣👸🏻🎷 Yeah she doing a Concert in Norway this month! Album to drop soon! So much to look forward to.♥👣👸🏻🎷

Great reaction and analysis! What a rendition! Her Gandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for her My Funny Valentine video! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, 2 time Grammy winner Rob Christie on piano. What a great cover! The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. I was not expecting this! This was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old….Wow!!! What a performance!

Hi Candice, nice to have you back with an other wonderful Angelina reaction. I love it. She isn´t only touching the souls of her listeners, she is caressing the souls and it makes you melt. There are also 2 new videos uploaded from her latest concert in Norway. If you react to them, what you hopefully do, make sure to watch the videos with the bigger format. There are also 2 smartphone videos from rhe same concert which are very poor quality. So watch the choice. Have a nice day.

Wonderful commentary Candice. Angelina is the best vocal story teller alive today. I’m much older than you and remember when Elvis did this in 1969, his last hit single. It had an upbeat tempo to it but Angelina turned it into a tear jerking love story of two good souls who’ve lost trust in each other. The Everly Brothers did a song called Love Hurts around 1960 and those two songs go together. Thank you for your reaction and I just subscribed for more Angelina.

Your comment about the first time actually hearing the lyrics of this song resonates. Yes, me to. And not only this song. Any Elton John song she has sung is the same. Is it her clear diction? Unlikely since English is not first language. An accent or emphasis or cadence she picked up from the near century past jazz artists she studied as a child? A broadly built-in human resonance with some unusual feature of jazz singing she's developed to a high degree by intense study while extremely young coupled with great amounts of intense practicing her craft as an apprentice?

@@candicefontaine276 Wow. Thanks a lot, Tanya. Quite the mix you've got there 🙂 On a general basis I really have to say that I LOVE your low register. Very full and soothing. I also like your mixed voice a lot. In your 2014 performances I have the feeling that you were trying something different. I heard more clean head voice in those. If there is one area you should focus, I'd say your normal head voice. It sounds like you're missing some of the voice (breath?) control there maybe. Your upper head voice however, is very good. I think Dôme épais from Lakmé together with Heidi was VERY good 🙂 "I Am Willin" stands out to me tho. Very impressive that you wrote that one yourself. You should be really proud. Nice production as well. And the general key was perfect for your voice. The other 3 that I liked the most are "All Of Me" You're really nailing the low parts there 🙂 Also "Kissing You". I love the way you use your mixed voice here. Engaging your chest voice is a winner IMO. "The same goes for your cover of "Skyfall". I really liked your mixed and lower head voice there 🙂 So, on a general basis I'd say I think your 2012 stuff was really good, then you seemed somewhat sidetracked in the 2014 performances. Just a layman's view here, so don't take anything to heart.. LOL BTW, I got a bit puzzled when I heard the "The Last Flight" theme song. Is that your vocals ? Or were you doing the backing ? I liked the composition and the voice 🙂 So you definitely have the voice. It's just a matter of writing the right songs for you I think. "I'm Willin" is the proof of that. Again, thank you for listening to me and scratching my musical itch...LOL Keep grindin' Gal !!!! Love from Norway, as always ♥♥♥♥♥
