the bar about vogue was about his ex-girlfriend, who is a professional photographer (he talks about this in "how I met my ex") and she wanted to shoot the cover for vogue magazine, which is ironic cause she is so beautiful, that she could be the motive for the cover instead. also the vogue is the top model of the range rover lineup, just like his ex is on the top of the attractiveness range. and relating to the rubicon line, its a juice company - so they were hiding weed in their juice boxes and brought that shit to school to feed their family.

Great video as always! When he says 'I don't know Clarke but i'm definitely a kidult' he's referring to the british film 'Kidulthood' set in London, starring Noel Clarke(know clarke), the title means that age when you're technically becoming n adult but you're really still a kid inside, although you can't act like it because of the environment you grew up in and the shit you've been through. DAVE is also probably from the same neighbourhood Kidulthood is set in, so he can really relate to that shit. Dope film btw you should definitely check it out when you have time!

I don't know (noel) Clarke, but I know that I'm a kidult. Noel Clarke is an actor/director who made a film called kidulthood, so daves saying that even when he was a kid he felt like an adult. The blacksmith's bar also refers to swords in the previous line as blacksmiths are people who make things out of iron, hence the sword. Cro is chronic (weed) and rubicon is just a drink over here so he's putting his drugs in a can of drink to hide it and putting it in the fridge to avoid the smell maybe. Also Streatham vale is where he is from...Great reaction my guy, you pick up a lot more bars than most GG WP!!

Streatham & 2 birds no stones by Dave, both seriously bar heavy!
@jeffcobb8151
4 жыл бұрын
The main theme behind the song is that he is expressing himself to his therapist. At the beginning he talks about how crazy and psycho he is. Throughout the song he explains why he would be psycho because of all the things he has seen. Then, the very last lyric he says “I aint psycho but my life is”. It is a deeper meaning behind what is going on in certain areas of the UK. His situation and surroundings as well as his past haven’t helped him but he isn’t a psycho or mad or a bad person even though media and popular opinion might make you think that way. It is the environment he finds himself in that is, and it is easy to portray the people stuck in that environment as wrong.
