This might seem kinda far fetched, but i feel like it has to do with the education of american people. Usualy american comedians are pretty smart compared to the rest of the countries population. A good sense of humor developes with way more potential if the person is properly educated.

CherryNetwork it could also be that these people are sober and most of the people he interviews are drunk. Phoebe Waller Bridge said something along the lines of if it’s good comedy there shouldn’t be much of a difference (in regards to British vs. American humor) and I agree with that. I think the argument between the two is pretty annoying because it makes it seem like they are the only two countries with their own distinct sense of humor.
