Ladywalk is a nature reserve leased by The West Midlands Bird Club, one of the oldest bird clubs in the country. The site itself is nestled with a loop of the River Tame and features a selection of pools as well as woodland areas.
It's the location which really got me into wildlife photography and feels like a second home to me as I used to be a very frequest visitor. It's a hotspot for a variety of woodland and water birds but ultimately this is wildlife photography so nothing is set in stone, one day you may be treated to a wintering Bittern or Spoonbill flying overhead and the next so may have nothing but the old regulars. So watch and find out to see how I got on.
