This is a tutorial on getting that little extra note for rock and roll strumming. You’ll bring in one of the fingers to add an extra note to a chord for one strumming, and then quickly pull it back off for the upstroke that follows.
It works for both shuffle (bouncy) strumming and straight 1/8 note strumming.
On Uke, we are generally adding a note that turns the chord briefly into its relative minor (C to Am, G to Em, etc).
