Awesome illustration, this enhanced my understanding a lot! You also renewed my interest and helped me to better understand "Beyond the Sea", a song I have struggled with but now feel better equipped to attempt again! Thanks Daniel!!

I thought this was GREAT. I have always struggled with the feel of blues and shuffle and this helps immensely . thanks so much. The drummer really helped too! WOnderful pertinent video as I am in the middle of a baritone blues course! :)

This so far over my head at this time. I have only been playing three years. Can’t hear at all and relate to it. Sounds good.kind of over my head. I do understand the count but there is no feel yet. Only 3 years playing so hopefully it will come. Ear doesn’t help me, need to see the music generally.

Useful. But isn't it all about the percussion here? Without the drummer, it would all sound the same

Actually, the point is that on ANY instrument, you can provide rhythm without even needing a drummer! I would suggest watching this again and just ignore the drummer, because I found this a great illustration of how to play different rhythms on an instrument!
