If i can give a little extra to your guide: i would say regarding modeling(and animation), you have the autodesk softwares like 3ds max and especially Maya. the latter has a bunch of tutorials (free on youtube and on others platforms for variable fees (like pluralsight if it still has those, or gnomon workshop (expensive, but school may have licenses to go on it)). If your goal as a beginner dev is to learn the tools of AAA to get in a big studio in the future, Maya is heavily present in those, while blender is more of the solo, indie or smaller scale studio type. The caveat however: the software cost is worse than adobe, it costs almost a rent per month. BUT, they have educational licenses (free) so if you are at school and learning game dev with a goal of becoming a junior in a big place, Maya is a good option if you can get it. Liking your energy and editing by the way ! Wishing you success.

i wanted to try making diner dash clone out of nostalgia for older flash games lol. it seems like it would be a very easy first game, and since im more of an artist and not really a programmer (although im trying to learn) i can make art the most appealing part of it. this video helped a lot! thanks (:

Thanks for the tips. :D I'm working as a game dev intern in a company and learning a lot with really smart people. Right now I'm working on a 2D platformer with messed up gravity, I know platformers are a worn out genre, but I loved to learn all the math and physics around it, and since I didn't have much experience, it has been a blast. :D PS: Your tutorial videos were a godsend. ;)

Is there actually a job for this kind of roadmap? I think you'll only get jobs when the company use these engines. Can you make a roadmap that actually gives the opportunity of getting your dream job, like learning the actual video rendering, e.g. OpenGL, Vulkan, etc.
@TacticalProgrammer

I'd love to help you out with that, but I don't have that kind of experience. You could try looking at Jason Weimann's channel, I think he made a video about something like that.

I started game development with MMORPG lol. It was a total disaster for me. After 6 years i literally can say dont do that. You will lose all your excitement and hopes and will take a break. Thats a mistake. Go for 2D not 3D but 2D. Build boring platformer. Do not copy a tutorial. Watch the video first then try to build what he did. It will improve your visual memory which means you will learn faster.

Yup! Definitely start small. I started with an ambitious horror game (as you can tell, it was a disaster), so instead I focused on smaller games, and now I'm working on my biggest one yet (fighting game). It's definitely way bigger than anything ive ever built, but I know what I need to make it, and a plan on how to bring it to life.
