So because you run an air/oil pump is why you don’t need to run any valve breather or catch can correct?
@Group-D
2 жыл бұрын
Well the engine is dry sumped so you can run the engine under vacuum and dont need to let it breath like a wet sump engine. This will generate more power as the crank and rods operate in a vacuum and dont have to push air out of the way often referred to as windage. I do have a breather filter on the crankcase by the valley but it is sealed most of the time and only opens when it sees positive crankcase pressure this will prevent ever pushing out a seal or gaskets leaking from excessive blow by

Hey Darren, love the vid, very informative, is there anybody else, like in FD running one of those engines or are you blazing the trial for them in drift cars?
@Group-D
4 жыл бұрын
This engine is from the Saturn Sky I used run in FD. Hubinette had the mopar version in his Challenger. So many years ago they were used pretty much before FD started a weight rule which made cars too heavy. So now turbo LS is prob a better option than NA V8. The Mustangs would have a Sprint car block with NASCAR heads and NOS now
