Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas
1 cup Nutella (or any chocolate-hazelnut spread)
1 cup chopped peanuts
1 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate coating)
Popsicle sticks (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Bananas:
Peel the bananas and slice them in half (or leave them whole, depending on preference).
Insert a popsicle stick into each banana half (optional but makes dipping easier).
2. Dip in Nutella:
Warm the Nutella slightly in the microwave (about 20-30 seconds) until it’s easier to spread.
Dip or spread the Nutella evenly over each banana.
3. Roll in Peanuts:
Immediately after coating with Nutella, roll the bananas in the chopped peanuts, ensuring they're well covered.
Place the coated bananas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then freeze for at least 1 hour.
4. Melt the Dark Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional) in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
5. Dip in Dark Chocolate:
Remove the frozen Nutella-coated bananas from the freezer.
Dip each banana into the melted dark chocolate, coating it completely.
Allow any excess chocolate to drip off, then place the bananas back on the parchment-lined sheet.
6. Freeze Again:
Freeze the dark chocolate-dipped bananas for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until completely set.
7. Enjoy:
Once frozen solid, your banana treats are ready to eat! You can enjoy them straight from the freezer.
Storage:
Store any leftover frozen bananas in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
