The website ProductionCrate doesn't work. You cant search anything and there is no option to create a free account. So there is no "free" material.

Super helpful thank you! Some of this is way above my pay grade but even so it's full of very useful info and tips for my first ever exploration of adding special effects and particularly for me as I already use DaVinci Resolve for all my editing.

These are fantastic tutorials, but I have a question. I have a bunch of smoke and fire elements already, but they're just videos with black backgrounds that usually use the screen setting to blend in. When I bring them into the Fusion tab after camera tracking and all that is complete, the element links up with the tracking points, but I'm unable to get the blend mode to work in 3D plane. Is it just that I'm using the wrong file for this or is there another step I'm missing?
@JakeWipp
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that doesn't always work. I would use a Luma keyer to remove the Black background. Just adding it in should remove it without any other input!

Many thanks for the amazing video! May I ask please what are the specs of your computer? I am using the Fusion tab for compositing (green screen mainly) but as soon as I add deltakeyer with cleanplate, or other nodes it becomes slower and slower. For examples a 16 second clip of a person (on green screen) comped on a jpg static image, took me 15 minutes to export. The footage I am working with is H264, UHD format at 30fps so is that time normal? I am using the free Resolve 18 on a an Asus TUF a15 laptop, Ryzen 4800H, RTX 2060, 16GB RAM, 512 M.2 SSD, if that matters. Am I doing something wrong, or how I could improve the export times? Many thanks in advance for any info.

This is a REALLY great tutorial, but a question: If you have made a good explosion, is there a way to put a clear PNG over it, like if you wanted to have a look like an explosion happening outside of a window? - Thank you.
@sotjohny
2 жыл бұрын
You could color correct. Or add an image with some window grim on it and a little glare and then track and poly it in.
