I have both the white and Black y60s with almost identical hardware except 1 has a 4080 and the other a 3080. Each has the LCD screen also. I built both at the start of 2023 and spent a good load of cash. I said I was done for at least 2 years but now 8 months into the year and I am thinking about water cooling basically just to do it. My systems run well so its just a matter of me doing this project. And then I see you slick video and I am the kid in the candy store again. Now I have to seriously look into the h/w for the build and some really good guides on how to do it right. For my first build I wish I could find a partner who knows how and learn from him. Since I have no creativity I would be copying someone else's design at first. Your system and video are top notch and I appreciate what you did and your craftsmanship.

@f4tjok3r Jay's 2cents video kinda talks about it. Other wise I'd say turn on the gpu metrics in the gpu software and move them to the little screen if you don't find a solution I guess.

Am I wrong but are the tubes supposed to be at that angle? I'm about to build my first liquid cooled so maybe it's just me. I'm a commercial electrician and OCD with my conduit runs. I look at it being basically the same as far as being level.

Awesome build and color scheme. Few questions tho, 1) why would you spend extra money on a matching gpu just to take the shroud and rad off for water cooling, 2) purple seems very random tho I do understand the liquid looks cool

great looking build i do have one question though..... what did you mount the distroplate to????
@josephpetty2268

Hi, so I mounted it to the fans, using a fan bracket from EKWB. It's a 120mm fan bracket that spaces it away from the fans giving adequate room for airflow.

I wish you'd posted which water pump you used and the LCD screen model. I'm curious, why did you go in and out of your CPU & GPU instead of going from your GPU to your CPU or vice versa? Does it cool better or you just like the way it looks?

Sick Build!!! Waiting on the Y70s to be in stock and wanna do something similar. Question about your fluid. I see your using the Primochill Vue which looks sick but has a pretty bad rep of breaking down after a few months and causing issues. Have you experienced any of that with this build since its been a few months?

Part of me is hoping that there are some standoffs separating the radiator+ fan assembly that are obscured by the camera angle and he just forgot to show it off but also keep in mind I'm an absolute novice at even theoretical open loops and I just made that "solution" up on the spot lmao.
@josephpetty2268

There's definitely separation between the fans and distro plate. I wouldn't make such a rookie mistake lol. It's a solid plate actually. There's about 2-3" of space between that distro plate and the actual back intake. So there's plenty of airflow. I made sure to test all that out before I made the final install of everything. But I appreciate your honesty opinions!

How much for you to build a pc exactly like this?
@lemickey4204
7 ай бұрын
A lot. Watercooling itself is prob 1k. Case 200, I don’t remeber specs but assuming they’re good cpu $400, mobo 200, gpu 900, that ram is expensive cuz of aesthetics prob 200, psu 150, cable extensions 50, we can lowball the fans and say 100 though they’re prob more. So in total about 3k, 2k for pc 1k for watercooling. Oh yea, and storage which I don’t think he showed would be another 100 again if we’re low balling it. Edit: keep forgetting things, lcd screen was 200. Prob forgot other things too. Closer to 3500
