That example object seems to be in relatively decent condition in the first place. I'd love to see how it would deal with the kind of triangulated meshes you get after converting from one object format to another that Blender has an import for and then dealing with the triangulated mess you often see in that scenario. I often have to reach for tools in the Mesh -> Normals menu such as Recalculate Outside and Inside as well as Reset Vectors. When dealing with planar surfaces that are triangulated, Decimate helps a lot. Are imported objects with lots of triangulation just too complex for an automated tool?

Thanks for your comment, indeed a demonstration with an imported triangulated mesh is a great idea. Gets noted! And no, it's not too complex for the tool but sometimes you have to tweak the settings to get the best result or clean something utterly messed up by hand before. Have a great day!

how do you show the flip normals just by being in the edit mode? withoud going to settings bar at the top

That's a little settings trick: 1. Enable 'Face Orientation' in the settings bar 2. Go to Edit->Preferences->Themes->3D Viewport and navigate to 'Face Orientation Front' and set the colors alpha to 0. Now only the back side of faces get red toned so you don't have to disable face orientation anymore, hope it helps!

@@benzbarcelona1808 And to add...you can hover over the check box for show overlays and Right Click on it and set for Quick Favorites. Now you don't have to go up to the drop-down anymore just hit Q on the keyboard...😉

6:35 is that called 'clean'? no.. look at the roof plane there is still some lines remained.. how to get rid off em?

@NBCNothingButCrap These edges are necessary and can't be removed. Otherwise there would be a single face with a hole, which is not possible with polygons (A polygon is a single loop of edges that outline a single surface, and a hole would require another loop). Hey, this looks amazing, but I assume that it works on assets I made, and instead of manually disolving stuff, I could use this? Does it work on multiple meshes at once, and does it keep those meshes separated, or will it merge/join everything automatically?
