I am really glad! I do have a few banyan tree projects in the plans - all you need is just follow the same techniques and get a few aierial roots drop from the branches. The trick is to keep it fine I guess. I made that mistake for my first banyan tree where I made the aerial roots very thick for the size. Good luck with your project and please share photos when you make progress. You can find me on Facebook and Instgram if you search 'Trains and Dioramas.' Cheers! Kaustav

A beautiful model - thank you for sharing your process! The colourful “patches” you see on natural trees is due to Lichen (the white and yellow splotches) and Moss growing on the trees, because of the moisture in more humid or wet climates - I hope this helps :)

This is amazing! I have a feeling that after I binge watch your videos, I'm going to be convinced I can make something almost as spectacular. A very professional video and a most convincing end result. I am most curious about model railroading in India - I know trains are, and have been, an important part of life in India, but I was not aware of any models of Indian railway rolling stock or buildings. You mention Vikar Chandler and I am familiar with his outstanding models and tutorials - but he models German Railways. Anyway I have just subscribed :)
@TrainsandDioramas
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words and for subscribing. There’s no commercially available model train items of Indian Railways, except perhaps some special run of DHR by a few British manufacturers. Hobbyist in India have been scratch building things to best of their abilities. Most model makers use locally available materials to build larger scale models of Indian Railways in either static or free rolling form, some have been able to make battery operated gauge 1 or G scale models. As for a proper IR models railway, the only one that I am aware of is Ranjeev Dubey’s KSR that you can find here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xXp_1p-pnIJyqYY

@@TrainsandDioramas I watched your video on Sanjeev Dubey's model railway after watching this tutorial - I loved it. Hopefully the mainstream manufacturers will catch on to the fact that there is a huge potential market in India. I would really love to see models of those colourful Indian steam locomotives. My Bucket List includes a trip to all of the wonderful mountain railways in India - someday!
@TrainsandDioramas

That sounds fantastic! I am a big fan of the Narrow gauge and mountain railways of this country, much more than the popular broad gauge stuff. Most of my near future projects are planned to be narrow gauge or meter gauge, BG coming in only as a ‘representation.’ I do want to make a BG loco facility and a yard someday... a lot of do, but very little time... 😕

Thank you, glad that you enjoyed this little project. I would've loved to keep them coming faster, but it's just not possible to produce videos quicker for the quality goals I have. When I started my channel I was producing 3 videos a month, now I am trying to keep it 1 video every 3 weeks and that itself is becoming difficult to do consistently while managing the day job and other priorities. Hopefully the quality makes up for the low frequency. 😀 Cheers and Happy New Year. 🍻
