I appreciate it! I love making them and it’s really fun to try to learn to make a good video. I’m just thankful people watch them… if not, I’d still make videos, but they’d be more like my original channel’s videos, really infrequent (1 every 6 months to a year). My goal is to produce weekly videos here one day tho… my job is just working me every 12-15hrs at home which is hindering my ability to wheel and edit.

Great video Dewie! I really like the new editing style. It’s great. Love seeing the Ford Escape in its natural habitat. The Ford Escape is like a salmon returning to the exact stream where it was born because it knows it’s a good place to wheel. Nobody thinks about the word “Escape” until they see this
@coloradomallcrawlers

Thanks buddy! It’s starting to feel natural, but it’s making the older videos harder to edit 😂. The escape is definitely cool! I just wish Ford would protect their alternators better. Trey was a bit cautious in the bronco due to some recent reports of the 2.7L alternators failing around water. Not sure how true that is tho.

@@coloradomallcrawlers I would keep up with your new style! I think it’s great but what do I know? Not much! Your videos before were really awesome and now they are really awesome +. Kind of like A vs A+ in middle school. I don’t know shit all about Ford alternators but that sucks if it’s true. Or it’s complete garbage if alternators will fail with a little water. Oh man I’m ready for wheeling season but I think it’s going to be a busy summer with work. The oilfield is booming baby! ⛽️

Right next to the rocky section (10:28-ish) there is an outcrop of quartz that is really neat along with an ammo can geocache. Also, if you have not run it already, check out Miners gulch. Awesome video!

Using lockers isn't cheating. The Jeep came from the factory with them. It's not Jeeps fault the others don't have them

It is when you make these videos for all kinds of vehicles including wranglers without factory lockers. Also, many modern off-road vehicles have factory lockers, but I’ll be using my lockers a lot next week on a tough trail as I take on an awesome driver in a new bronco (that’s not really the point tho… we’re just filming a trail guide together).

Appears mostly on the easy side up until that rocky section at 9:45 when it gets more moderate. If you think a Trailhawk rated Jeep, like the Renegade and Compass can make it, and the VW and Ford Escape were actually able to do it, then def. not a difficult trail. Nice to see all the types of rigs out there! I had a Renegade for a while and it did prove very capable on many trails. The mud def. makes it more challenging! I was also imoressed by the Hummer, must have been that extra weight. 😎

The ratings here are in line with trails off-road and Funtreks which are reliable sources. This is the deal, if I rated every trail for how it was for me in my Jeep, they’d all be easy except for a few moderates. Difficult would be if I had to winch (however Mt Blanca would get a difficult rating and I didn’t winch there). That’s just not how I want to rate trails… meaning a trail shouldn’t be rated based on a front and rear locked Jeep on 33s. This is why the reliable sources mentioned above have these ratings. I bumped it up from standard ratings due to the snow/ice and and should have said this in the video. Also, video blunts difficulty. Someone in the comments said they’d take a 2wd vehicle on here, I offered to film it, got nothing but crickets. My ratings are pretty standardized to the trails we covered with the subjectivity coming from only me to keep it standardized (I do take feedback from others wheeling the trip, but ultimately I make the ratings at the end). I hope that all makes sense, I just worked 11 hours that should have been 7 so I’m beat, but thanks for watching!

Not really a trail of a bumpy road I have taken a Subaru brat up there in the 1980s and 90s. It can actually be done in a car. I went up there last year in my Rubicon and never even put it in four-wheel-drive so I ask why are you doing any kind of an off-road test up at St. Mary’s glacier
@coloradomallcrawlers

I love these kind of comments… let’s take your 2wd car (not the rubicon) on it and I’ll definitely film it! I simply show the trail so you can decide if it’s ok for you and your ride. It’s ok to disagree with us. Let me get this right tho, you rate what I posted as a bumpy road you can do in a car? You did see one of these vehicles never made it home, right? I think I’m glad you don’t give recommendations to others.
