Hi, I just loved the circuit that you designed yourself to power up the raspberry pi as UPS. I heard you saying in the video that it can provide continuous power supply of 3 Amps. I am eagerly waiting for your video on how to develop that circuit. Thanks.

need better battery, normal raspberry nominal have recommeded 2,5A and whit HDD 5A and fan 5,5A need be battery capasity 4 hour mean need be minimum 20AH battery, i just adding my raspi3 X820 SDD/HDD board and manual say need be minimum current rate power 5A. next i orden UPS board but not has found true good board. better have DIY lot about 10 pcs, battery, 2S BMS and dc step down converter adjust adjust output to raspi 5,1 volt because BMS not have output regulation chip, and charging input need step down converter and adjust charging power to 7,4 volt remeber have 2S battery max volt charging, look at google i no sure remember. and charger power up to 8volt about 3A

btw the reason you had issues with the fan pwm readouts on your last rpi video was that you were switching off the entire fan circuitry including the hall effect sensor you need a 4 wire fan to be able to pwm control one of those fans effectively for the ones without a pwm input I find that controlling the voltage usually works pretty well

+David Scheiber The trick with a 3 wire fan is to read the tacho pin only during the on time of your PWM signal, but this did not work for me either.

Does it can detect power interruption and create a signal for proper shutdown?

Hi, how did you made your external screen and which components did you use, except the 3d printed case ? Thanks 😉

Why did you use the 12v battery rather than your adjustable power supply, as you have in the past?
@enwi

For demonstration purposes. Also do you mean by "adjustable power supply" the buck converter, because this was already built into the circuit?

enwi I was referring to the power supply that you'd originally used earlier inn the video series, when developing the "package". It shouldn't matter, either way, I suppose; but I thought there might have been a reason you choose a different power source.

I just used the 12V battery for convenience, because I did not have any barrel jack connected to my test circuit

enwi Thanks. I was currious. You were so detailed about everything in the series, I figured you had a reason. 😊
