Great critical review! 1: A small piece of Emory paper will knock off that mold line off if their sissy hands are that sensitive. Had a place on a HellCat Pro I had to knock down. No big deal. 2: You are spot on regarding the 20 round mags. There was a batch from the supplier that were put together wrong. Put that baseplate in right, no further issues. 3: I have beat the holy crap out of mine in rain, mud, heat and full on match conditions. My reloads and Quality factory ammo... Zero issues with over 2000 rounds through it so far. 3: Can't say I have experienced any slide release issues. I do a strong hand thumb release during reloads and it goes every time. 4: IMO... The mods here are very cool indeed but this pistol needs nothing to run 100% right out of the box. I would trust my life without question to carrying the Echelon. PS... Your twin brother from another mother lives in NC and is retired LE...

I have had my Echlon for a year now and have close to 1,000 rounds through it. Have not had a single malfunction and 90% of what I shoot are 124 gr cast reloads. It’s just cheaper. No mag issues what so ever. They all work great. My gun is all stock with no mods and it works fine for me. I have an Apex trigger on my 320 which I like better but I like the grip on the Echlon better. A really nice gun for sure. Thanks for the video as always. Enjoy watching the reviews.

Thanks to videos like yours I was sure to get the magazine extension installed correctly the first time. I watched several videos on the echelon and it got my curiosity up, so I went down to my local local arms dealer at the end of my street and I held my first echelon in my hand and I started looking at this thing and I’m at my goodness this has all the improvements already on the weapon that people paid a lot of money to have done under their weapon or wish that they could have on their weapon and this one already has it. The trigger is excellent, but I do wish it had a little more tactile reset I wish you could feel a little better and hear it a little better. That’s one thing you have to give credit to Glock because they have a very audible and tact reset but the rest of the Glock trigger feels like a glorified squirt gun. One other thing that I can easily change with my forum tool, it’s sort of not the sharp edge down on the release buttons, especially on my dominant hands side because it tends to dig in the mouth my middle finger central knuckle. all I’d have to do really is I could probably just put nib on my forum tool and a little compound and just kind of smooth that edge or a little more rounded. I think that would do it without actually have to grind on it. I haven’t even shot my echelon yet because I just got it yesterday and I’m definitely looking forward to going out and blasting away the target that came with. It looks like it shoots like very accurately. oh another cool thing is I’m a CZ fan and I like CZP 10 C I like to P 10 F I have a P 10 F and 45 ACP and I was gonna buy a CZ 10 and 9 mm . One advantage that I have found with the Z‘s that I know they work well and the Glock holsters that I own my Miami Vice II Galco shoulder holster. before I purchase this pistol, I brought my Galco Miami Vice to shoulder holster to the gun store and they let me put it in the holster and that echelon fit in that shoulder holster, better than Glocks that it was designed to fit and better than CZ P 10 series pistols. So, that saves me 300 and something plus dollars for that shoulder holster and it also works in the other outside the waste man pancake coasters that I have even though it’s not rated made for the echelon. As long as they’re coming out with new aftermarket accessories and grip frames, I hope that somebody designs and comes up with an aftermarket GE mini gun accessory that will work on the line. Can you imagine having a handheld electric mini gun? BOY HOWDY !!! I’ve never shot this type of rear site set up with the U do you place the front door over where you want to shoot? Is that the Point impact or do you do a 6 o’clock hold or can somebody tell me that please?

I hope that more of the companies that do stuff for the p365 and p320 start doing similar things for the Echelon. I like the Echelon a lot better than the p320 but a lot of people buy guns based on the after market (Glock) as opposed to which firearm is superior. I don't know the sales numbers but I don't see anyone other than Glock with a better aftermarket than Sig so Springfield has a lot of ground to make up and hopefully they do.

Awesome and perfectly timed video (ps. The Echelon is my main home defense squeeze) Which frame size are you using? It looks the medium frame with the largest backstrap? I am running the large grip module with the smallest backstrap, which feels perfect for me, but with that being said im not aware of any company other than Floyd’s who makes a magwell for the large grip module. Does anyone know anything different?? I’m not crazy about the one Floyd offers but if it’s the only one I can get… I would also love to have an option that allows me to use the factory mag extensions but that doesn’t seem to exist either. Springfield/aftermarket companies need to capitalize on this! Like you said, compact, longe slide, long grip short slide/ the opposite… all of that!

Offtopic, but you have mentioned at least twice in prior videos that your magpul glock pmags have failed before. In what way did they fail? Long term storage? Arizona heat exposure? I was planning to use some 15 rounders for loaded long term storage in ammo cans over OEM due to rounds rattling, and pmags preventing the extraction lip of the top cartridge from getting snagged in the back of a P80 frame's magwell. In whatever way your pmags failed, does ETS' new omega mag design possibly address it on paper?

I've "heard" HS might be testing an Echelon variant with factory porting, I myself am waiting for the shorter slide version. Just wondering on your optics selection, have you ever tried out the Meprolight MPO-Pro F enclosed emitter optic. I recently got to try out the S version and loved it.

So im currently almost 4000rds into my Echelon and the only malfunctions ive had were from experimenting with comps and recoil spring weights and even then i blame it on the ammo, who did th3 slide cuts on your ported echelon? Floyds custom? I really like that continuation of the serrations across the top

@@TacticalConsiderations well the offerings in the market currently run fine with OEM springs and lighter springs, I ran into issues going heavier trying to eat up more of that slide energy for less "felt" recoil, my current setup is amazing, custom fit an Aeroknox G comp to my Echelon and it's like having a Radian just about on it. I also just received the new Rook Precision compensator that's not out yet to do a review and testing on and I'll have Herrington Arms comp next week sometime

Haven’t gotten one yet but I was a fan of the XD Mod 2 ergos and shot it well and this looks very similar in outline. Before politics got involved, I was a big Springfield fan and have always thought they were superior to Glock. I have about a dozen Glocks for reasons I can’t explain as the PDP line up is my favorite and I shoot my VP9 very well but don’t tell Patton as I mock him about his on the regular. See ya Saturday. Stay Calm, I’m not Alec Baldwin.

Hey now. To be fair, I think the ATF expert was taking down the Glock 18 select fire model. That was the hot thing at the glock armorer class 15 years ago. A magnet for the SWAT guys and we did a takedown then. ATF Expert (tm) should have known how to do it before the camera was rolling and it is never found on the street.🤣😂

Thanks for the follow up video. Gotta say its a hell off a pew pew. I actually shoot it better then my range favorite XDM Compact Elite. Would like to see a sub compact size, yes i know it would interfere with the Hellcat line sales. But i've noticed my has a serial number on the slide as well as the COG....so new size slide wouldn't be kosher to change? Also..... somebody needs to get a ammo sponsor like Federal or some better brand.
