Just had a full forged rebuild on my 7MGTE with all ARP gear etc, engine feels good, sounds good but it won't ever see more than 11psi, the truth is they don't like high boost pressure, just never designed as a turbo engine from scratch , instead I have a Fidanza flywheel, ATI harmonic balancer, ACL race bearings with a stage 3 6 puck and heavy duty pressure plate all dynamically balanced together, it's more like a NA engine with a high flow CT 26 on low boost to give it air flow, so far it feels great, revs really smoothly and quickly.

Woule be SO great to have, you can actually get one quite cheap here in Germany, but with the upcoming "Blue-Pollution-Badge" it will be impossible to drive one, except as an oldtimer (needs to be 30 years old and fully stock).
@miltos_carhub

@xXYannuschXx
9 жыл бұрын
Slash! Car Compilations Yeah, our government is crazy, the entire pollution badge thing is insane. Basically, we have 3 badges currently: red, yellow and green. For gasoline engines, red means that the engine has no sort of exhaust gas cleaning, yellow is given to cars with a very bad system and green when you have a catalysator (even VERY old cars with 1st gen catalysator can get a green badge). Now, the want to introduce a blue badge that forbids any car from entering a city that doesnt have a Euro 4 rating for gasoline and Euro 6 for Diesel. Some politians even go so far and want Euro 6 for gasoline. That would mean that 90% of all cars couldn't enter our cities anymore...
@miltos_carhub
9 жыл бұрын
xXYannuschXx That shouldn't happen at all man. Thankfully here in Greece there's no such thing as that, in order for your car to be street legal it needs to have a documented engine, not polluting way above when it came out from the factory and good tires/suspension on the check that happens once per 4 years
@xXYannuschXx
9 жыл бұрын
Slash! Car Compilations Would be a heaven, I can understand that we need to protect the environment, the green pollution badge makes much sense, but the blue one? That just insane. Many of our laws and regulations are crazy, here's one I find especially dumb: If you buy car with 400 hp, it will be more expensive in insurance and taxes, than a car that got tuned from 200 to 400hp. Does that make ANY sense?
@tto111
9 жыл бұрын
+xXYannuschXx Can they put new regulations on cars which was released at an earlier time? They cannot put regulations on cars that work backwards in time. At least here in Norway. But not like Norway is the best country to have cars in. A BMW M3 for example: 160k euros. In germany it is around 90k? Oh, and our roads have lower standards then Albania. And we pay 1,4 euros taxes per liter of gasoline, we pay 3,26 euros every time we drive through the toll stations on the road. (From me to work and back, i drive through 5 of them, and that is only 30minutes each way.). We pay 360 euros a year to be allowed to drive on the roads. We have to pay 25% tax on everything we buy for the car. 12% i think it was on shop expenses. To buy a car, is also very expensive... To get a crappy Toyota corolla, you must pay around 1500 euros. And on top of this, they have zero tolerance for any modification to the vehicle. If you got blue hoses in the engine bay, you have to show the car to the govurnment, and if they find anything, they take your plates away. Yes Norway is expensive. But we can drive our old cars. As of today. :)
