genuine question: why in Qur'an not simply in clear words prohibit the marriage to the wives instead of calling them to be mothers to the believers? Or why not like sisters to the believers? You can't marry your sister. Not saying that it says what sunnis say it to be but to me personally it seems like there is more behind the word choice of mother than simply the prohibition of marriage.

Read Quran 33:53. Quran did indeed prohibited the marriage to the wives in clear simple words. "And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offence in the sight of Allah." Surah Ahzab, Verse 53. This command was repeated twice in the Quran, once through direct command, and second by establishing them as your mothers

@@DamiRawafidhi I was referring to the verse calling them mothers. If in another verse already the prohibition is made clear then why use the term mothers when sisters for example would've sufficed? When giving attribute of a parent, which are generally of high regard in Islam then I think there is more behind the wisdom of Allah swt for the choice of using the word mothers since no word of Allah swt is of insignificance or unimportance.

@@juniorslice9618 Your speculation is meaningless though, because we have the actual meaning of the verse from your own tafsir. At this point you're interpreting the verse of your own whims. A mother in it of itself is a mutashabeh title. Is she literally your mother? As in you are mahram to her? You would claim no but what is your basis? That's the issue when you make tafsir of the Quran on the basis of your own whims and desires. And also a mother is not an infallible person. If my mother wages war against the imam of her time, kills thousands of pious muslims, lies on rassolallah, and abuses his beloved wives, she is cursed by Allah.

@@userlginfydrubf Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: I had been eager to ask `Umar about the two ladies from among the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) regarding whom Allah said (in the Qur'an saying): If you two (wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) namely Aisha and Hafsa) turn in repentance to Allah your hearts are indeed so inclined (to oppose what the Prophet (ﷺ) likes) (66.4), till performed the Hajj along with `Umar (and on our way back from Hajj) he went aside (to answer the call of nature) and I also went aside along with him carrying a tumbler of water. When he had answered the call of nature and returned. I poured water on his hands from the tumbler and he performed ablution. I said, "O Chief of the believers! @@aliagha1221 if the anger your talking about is so big & disgusting , the prophet would have divorced Aisha رضي الله عنه we see through our Hadith how caring & loving he was to her. Yaعni they used to race each other, drink from the same spot as they would drink from, purposely. They would ask each other about their love using riddler’s. at the same time Aisha would get jealous & overprotective. As it’s the nature of women, the prophet affirmed her jealousy & hasn’t made it a big issue. Ofc Aisha رضي الله عنه isn’t infallible But what’s has this got to do with you? Aisha (ra) was a scholar of Islam, a scholar of Fiqh & our beloved Teacher who narrated more then 2 Thousand Hadith’s because after all she knew the prophet more than any1 in his household, did she not? Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent `Amr bin Al As as the commander of the troops of Dhat-us-Salasil. `Amr bin Al- `As said, "(On my return) I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, 'Which people do you love most?' He replied, `Aisha.' I said, 'From amongst the men?' He replied, 'Her father (Abu Bakr)'. I said, 'Whom (do you love) next?' He replied, "`Umar.' Then he counted the names of many men, and I became silent for fear that he might regard me as the last of them. You claim to fight for the prophet against the one’s his TELLING YOU he loves? Yaعni this is a joke
