Thank you so much for this video! Was there any kind of seal around your static panel that you moved? We have winter where we live and wonder if this could work for us and our patio doors.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. We have small seals on each panel that have a felt feel, the track itself has none. I did not remove anything from the door. We live in Florida, most likely have different seals. I hope this helps.

I am not sure you had any stationary panels. This is a great video but since I have two stationary panels and I would like to reverse the direction of the sliding door, which involves moving those 2 panels to the other side , I am not sure I can follow the directions you are giving. I would appreciate if you can give me an idea on that. Thanks!

Hi Miguel, you are correct all 3 of my glass panels move. So this video may not be helpful for you. This is my first slider door flip. Unfortunately I do not know what your slider would look like to be able to help guide you. I wish you luck that you find a DIY with your slider combination. Thank you very much for reaching out.

do you know how to reinstall the doors such that the door that opens is in the center?

"Thank you for watching and reaching out! While I might not be a professional slider door installer, I'm always up for a challenge. Unfortunately, I don't have the exact steps for flipping glass sliding doors from the center, as this was our first attempt too. However, I'd suggest looking into some DIY resources or seeking advice from a professional for the best guidance. Good luck with your project!"

Great video except where were the door handles ? I didn't see any on any of the doors ?
@KimagineDIY

Thank you very much. My slider does not have any exterior door handles. You can see me closing the door with the built in handle at 4:10. I did not have to change my handle hardware just where the lock was located on the track.

@KimagineDIY great video thank you. I am also confused about the locking glass panel though - did you have to reverse this door so that the side which was previously outside was now on the inside of the house? If not, how did you get the lock mechanism from the right to the left side of the glass panel?
@S.L.S-407

@@mprice7779 - I watched VERY closely this time and there door handle is the same color as the door and is hard to see. PLUS, they didn't show you that they had to flip the first door upside down in order for the handle to end up on the right side of the door . So, when they started, if you were on the inside looking out, the door handle is on the left side of the door. If they had merely moved the door with the handle to the far right and did not turn it upside down, the handle would still be on the left side of the door. If you flip that door the handle will then be on the right side of the door. You only have to move the clip that locks the door from the left side of the frame to the right side of the frame which is where the door handle is now. Hope that helps. : ) I almost forgot. If you have a "normal" door lock you will have to remove it and turn it upside down and then put it back into the door.

@mprice7779 Thank you so much for watching and reaching out with your questions! 😊 Yes, you are correct. I rotated the door 180 degrees so that the hinge that was originally on the left is now on the right. This allowed me to move the lock mechanism from the right to the left side of the glass panel. I hope that clarifies things for you! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

I rotated the door 180 degrees so that the hinge that was on the left is now on the right. You're absolutely right-I could have explained and shown that part better. Didn't the door already open from either side? Did you just want the left door to be on the inside of the other 2?
@KimagineDIY

Yes it could open from both sides and yes I wanted to shift the order because I didn't want to see the exposed track on the floor. It works better now with my room layout.

I have only ONE screw on the top and one screw on the bottom. It's my understanding that by removing those screw I will be removing the frame on each side of the door. My doors have a large opening on the top and bottom where a screw driver can go into and turn the screw INSIDE the door to lower or raise the rollers so that you can then remove the door from the track. Does this make any sense to you ?
@KimagineDIY

Hi, it is a little hard to understand without seeing your doors. (Plus I am not an expert on sliding doors) But my slider doors had screws on each side of the slider, 2 on top, 2 on the bottom. They only controlled the raising and lowering of the wheels on the track. That is what I show in the video on how I was able to flip mine. If you know the brand of your slider you might be able to find a video or a manual to provide you further instructions.
