Great information, thank you. I have a brother that lives on brigantine, but he never mentioned this.

I'd rather see more concerts here like I did w Phish in 2012. Electric cars are ghey, and so is trying to "reduce carbon footprints"

Thanks for the comment. I imagine there will still be events there this year. It will take some time before this gets started.

why would they turn the land into private use
@MattHaviland

The land currently isn’t being utilized other than a few events per year that happen there. This proposal could help the economy, and also increase tax revenue for the city.

@@MattHaviland any proposal would increase tax revenue for the city because it puts the land to some use. Even a simple beautification project would make it more attractive for regular events. I simply mean, why would they hand over such a valuable piece of land to a group that appears to mainly want to create an enclave for the rich.

@@rhemy1 Massive majority of AC real estate is extremely low income. AC is desperate to bring in projects that will attract higher income residents and visitors

@@TheBigBaryshnikov so you sell off public land to some rich kids who come to leave in their gated community to race in their expensive cars and then leave? You attract people of higher income by developing a city they want to be in. This means developing something that says the city is dedicated to changing itself in the long term. Shopping restaurants beautiful spaces.
