I recently bought the 7 string version of this, 25.5-27" scale and its pretty good. Pros: -The neck is really stable. After a setup from a reputable tech I changed the tuning from drop G#/Drop C# down another 1/2 step. Didn't even need a truss rod adjustment. -Sounds amazing, chunky beast! -The most ergonomic design I have played. I have small hands -light weight -looks great Cons: -The B string is maxed out with a 70 gauge, which is to be expected with a 27" scale. Wanted to tune it like an 8 string in drop F, but drop G, at 16.7 lbs, will have to do. -the bridge tuning machines are too stiff. -doesn't stay in tune well -the bolt on up on the high end can be a bit of a stretch if u have small hands. Other then that, it does sound amazing, just absolutely brutal in drop G/ drop C. My tuning: G,C,G,C,F,A,D

Doesn't stay in tune well? That's just about the biggest con there can be with a guitar. 1 year later, would you still say it doesn't stay in tune well? Or did you come to a solution?
@christopherharv

8:26 he says his version has excellent tuning stability. My Agile Septor (fixed bridge) has excellent tuning stability, but my Agile INTERceptor (floyd rose bridge) has horrible tuning stability becayse the floyd was a LICENSED floyd which are known to only be good for a few years before the metal wears down at the knife edges and is basically irreparable.

I've been very lucky with Agile. I've had 3 of them, all different models, and all of them were very well made. Definitely not perfect but for what I paid for them they were amazing. I always planned to switch the pickups out but there was no need as I thought they sounded really good. I have heard all the horror stories though. That's why I consider myself lucky. Anyway I would definitely recommend giving them a chance if you're low on money and just need something solid to practice on or play shows with.

I think your reviews are excellent Arnold, you're one of my favorite subs. I just want to say, i think this Agile you got was uncharacteristically flawed in many minor ways. I have an Agile 9, and it is not perfect and it's at a lower price point, it was $599 just EMG 909's in it. But the quality of instrument you USUALLY get for the dollar from Agile is superb. The frets would be a little better, the finish flaws would be a bit less noticeable. But i was thinking of getting one of their $450~ range multiscale 7 strings they have. If i did id review it myself on my channel. But by all means if you decide to try one from them again but brand new, i personally would get a lot out of it. But anyways great review again, i appreciate your attention to detail and honesty in your reviews very much.

@@jackbootshamangaming4541 yea I had got it on a deal at the time too, so you'll def never find it again 😂 oops. Truth be told, on my 9 string agile, neck felt so thick after awhile, that it ran me straight into a Kiesel ZM8, chambered body, and that's the lightest best playing 8 string in existence. Ok maybe exaggeration but it's damn up there. I also now have an Agile Chiral Nirvana 82528 , I do like it, I just need the proper setup for the strings I have. I paid close to $1000 but I used Affirm loan for the payments. You definitely need man hands to play their extended range instruments though lol if I didn't have long bony fingers, I wouldn't have a prayer of playing them efficiently.

One of the best demo songs I’ve heard in a minute! Loved it man. I recently (today) got my new guitar I ordered this weekend from Reverb. It’s a Legator Ghost X7. It’s a one-off and one they used to show at NAMM a year or two ago. It’s definitely their higher end model for sure. Absolutely stunning, if I’m honest. Beautiful buckeye-burl top and great finish. I know the lower end you a review on a few years back left a bad taste in your mouth, as did many others, but their new higher end models are definitely million times better and especially for the price, I feel like.
@Ghost17110

I picked up a Ghost 8 from Guitar Center's used section a while back for like $500ish and I gotta say it was more than a $500 guitar in terms of value. I understand that they've put out (and likely continue to do) many poor guitars but man for $500 I was expecting mediocre and what I got was arguably the best 8 string offered below $1000 for someone who wanted fanned frets. Korean made, 26.5-28 inch scale with the parallel fret right where I like it, decent hardware, VERY light weight body, smooth fret ends, etc... Only problem is the pickups are hot garbage The only other options on the market under $1000 either have fans either too short in the low end (27ish inches) or too extreme overall (Rondo), parallel fret placement that I find uncomfortable, or large super strat bodies. Guitar Center used section is top tier, cheap prices and 30 days no questions asked returns.

admittedly Dusty might not be able to do it for health reason, like maybe a doctor has actually told him that it could kill him. However, Dusty...if what you are concerned about is willpower and the ability to stay on track, if I...one of the most impulsive guys this side of Peter Griffin can do it, then so can you. Just download an app like Carb Manager and log everything, and you would be seriously surprised how fast you get on the wagon and stay on it. You'll also be surprised in that a lot of changes you didn't think could ever happen, do happen. Like for me, definitely the appetite thing. I LOVE eating...LOVE LOVE LOVE eating!!! But now that I've gotten used to keto (it's been 32 days as of this comment), I literally just have a significantly smaller appetite. Like, I sometimes ACCIDENTALLY do intermittent fasting in that I'll be going about my day, look at my watch and see it's about 2:00 PM, and realize I haven't eaten anything. It's crazy!

Dude nice Belzebubs shirt! That was one of my favorite albums from last year. Also I'm glad to see Agile is still around. I can only speak from my experience, but way back in 2007 I ordered a custom Hornet V through Rondo and overall it was a great guitar for the price. It didn't match up to the higher end guitars I eventually got but I wouldn't have expected it to, it was literally a fraction of the price, but even still it had decent fretwork, a comfortable neck, held tuning fine with the Gotohs and with a Duncan Distortion installed it totally ripped. I eventually sold it in 2010-ish and never saw it again, wish I still had it just because it was such a fun guitar.

Nice review. About what I was expecting. Agile seems to be pushing into a slightly higher priced market, which I feel could be risky for them. Looks like the Fishman version of this sold out and all they have is the Cepheus (sic) pick-up version left. Strangely, it's supposed to be a pre-order and not even have shipped yet. I almost ordered one a month back, but by the time you ship it to Canada, the price becomes a lot less attractive, especially if you get a lemon and have to ship it back.

Question: are there two truss rods? on the 'headstock' there are two routed out cavities that look like dual truss rods. Could that be the reason for the bass side having relief and the treble side being straight? If so, then that was probably intentional as bass side needs more relief to clear the frets when vibrating.

Funny thing is, I went with the KX507MS a while ago, heared a ton of great reviews... had to return it... I was suspicious that guitar was a b stock, or was hanging in the guitar center for far too long, the hardware was kinda stained, one of the tuners wasn't responsive, also, it wasn't painted well on the edges of the headstock... but it wasn't a big deal, what was though, is that the bridge Fishman was making a weird crackling sounds before completely turning silent, battery change was making no difference, besides, neck pickup was working well, no matter which battery i was using. So the guitar center have sended the guitar to the Cort official representatives for diagnostic, but they couldn't find anything wrong with the pickup, i doubt they even checked well, since the problem wasn't consistent and could appear after a while when playing, heared similar stories with some of the Fishmans as well. I like Cort guitars nonetheless, and Fishmans have a great sound imo, guess it's a matter of luck sometimes, but decided to order a six string Schecter C - 1 SLS Elite Evil Twin instead

Just be careful not to confuse the Parallax edition with the Nirvana shown here. The Nirvana is 900$ with Fishman pickups, the Parallax is 675$ with Cepheus passive pickups.
