Need to rig up a 'pick holder' that could hook into it, maybe just a simple spring steel clip with small hooks at the opening to contain a small stack of picks. As an idea. So many simple little things you could do with this design, and without the need to modify the strap itself with extra holes, cut it to length, anything like that.

Personally I would make it wider and offer and make an add on that is a tapered width kit to add an even wider section for the shoulder area especially for bass players love me those 3 inch wide straps for bass

Not a big photography guy, but think that would make a really awesome belt design too. Could have different center pieces to get the right adjustment under 2 inches, then just add or remove links as you gain/loose weight. Bet it would be super comfortable. And any of those add ons you spoke about could be interchangeable between the 2 products. Would totally buy if you adapted it for that!

My husband gave me one for Christmas to use as a purse strap. I love it!!!! I bought a leather Berliner bag and went a bit overboard buying like 12-15 fabric straps on Amazon. Now they will be spending most of their time in my closet…because I love this strap!!! Great design and very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

You should offer "Pressed" designs.. Just like you press your name in the center link.. Maybe you could press in some flowers on every other panel.. or whatever else. Offering customizable pressed designs would bring in more buyers for sure.

This is one of the coolest and best designed things I have ever seen, no exaggeration. Can't wait to see how the long march of iteration plays out and what kinds of applications and attachments that can be used with this. The stitchless/rivetless construction and ability to expand/modify on the fly with no tools opens up so much potential for different uses and modularity

Lens mount!!!! Add a way to hold an extra lens on the strap! For example make a pouch that can hold rear lens caps. That way People cam use there own rear lens cap to lock in and add a lens to the strap. Bigger lens will need some more support, but it would be perfect for small lens

Ayy, don't worry about describing the cheesy woo woo parts of the process - you have the self-awareness to know that it isn't about the writing on the shower door and such, but rather that's just a means to an end. Love hearing about how you got from point A to point B, from nothing to something, listening to others describe their creative process(preferably without heaps of ego & self-adulation - you're good Weston, lol don't change!) really juices up my creativity. Causes me to change perspectives on some ideas I have in the works, see what other discoveries/solutions I can stumble into by just changing the 'angle' or 'path' I'm approaching ideas with. So I'm digging the RA2 & RBuilds videos(especially the longer format stuff like this), there's some really good content in here for your fellow creative types. I don't need one for a camera, but I definitely am interested in getting one of these to use for... well, something. Pretty much anything an accessory strap can be used for, except with more style, the awesome modular functionality, and of course LEATHER. Camera strap is just the starting point, this is a pretty versatile little design! Also, @LarryChenPhoto could probably use one/a few of these, give them some durability testing during Baja, King of the Hammers, and the rest of his gnarly shoots... just throwing it out there LOL

So I decided to pick up two of these as gifts. The one for my partner is most likely going to end up being used as a purse strap. Her current strap is ~50in. Your product page says the lasso link strap is ~40in. ”fully assembled" but also that 16 links come assembled and there are 8 more loose. Does that ~40in. measurement mean for the 16 assembled links, or does "fully assembled" also include using the 8 extra links? Is it possible to purchase more links?
@taejaskudva2543

To anybody else wondering, I got an email back, 40" uses all 24 links, they are not currently selling extra links but are now aware there is interest.

Idk how much leather work or business ownership experience you have, but you're right that it doesn't take much to have an idea and make a single product by hand. A couple hours, some leather and you're done. As a product for sale at a medium volume, a business needs to identify the product they're designing for, create a unique design idea, and then send that design to be machined for thousands of dollars to be used as cutting dies for their equipment and work out a supply of leather that will be consistent for however long they hope to sell for. Finally, any issue in the design would need to be scrapped and a new design created and machined. I'm sure there's hundreds of other steps and road blocks they had to solve. Most popular brands outsource to companies that do it for them, design supply and distribute. But these guys do it all in house, pay their guys, and source from the US. To me, it's quite impressive they took a unique idea like this all the way to market.
