One the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. incredible fit and finish with built-in integrity. I do have the TDI with highway mpg at 34. I'm amazed a the rock solid feel particularly when slamming the doors. The interior is amazing with a premium feel. This bad boy will out climb, out maneuver most SUVs. The diesel has a ton of torque and speed. A real keeper....

I'd like VW to reintroduce the Touareg TDI in the US but that will not happen. Interior technology could use an update, particularly the navigation system. A 350 hp V8 would also be nice. Interestingly, I did see a Touareg V8 a couple weeks ago. Wondering if it was a special order from Europe or if a V8 was sold in the US at some time? Build quality, reliability and styling all seem to be rated outstanding. Overall, it's a winner. Also, the size is just right. The Atlas -- way too big as a daily driver.

I just purchased a used 2014 Touareg Executive TDI 56K. It drives like a sports car. It took me about 2 months to research this vehicle and I'm so glad I bought it. I absolutely love driving it. Im not a speed person.. that's why the Cayenne or a Corvette is for. I love the tow package and the amazing 725 mile range/26g diesel tank. 26city/31highway so far.This is an already rare car to find. Til' this day, the easy open tailgate with your foot is still a head turner. I don't use my keys at all to unlock/lock, start or open the tailgate. I also notice my headlights move as I make left or right turns for better visibility at night. The moonroof is one of my favorites. It's just an absolutely great solid SUV.

It is definitely a nice looking vehicle. It's nice that this vehicle doesn't have push to start because while push to start is really convenient, I don't fully trust it. And it's kind of messed up that most cars come with push to start as a standard feature, instead of making it an option. I need an actual key for my car.

there's a special kind of people for the VW brand and those are like me. people that like boxy, simplicity and a design that doesn't get old so quickly. I have own Toyota, Saab, ram, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, ford, Chevy and gmc and i keep going back to VW. VW however is not like it used to be when it comes to premium materials, it does still looks great and if i could do it again i would choose my VW to any other car, unless i could afford an AUDI lol

I just bought one. Not Wolfsburg. Wish the original owner had gone for the package with extra features as, it wasn’t that costly, at about $2K. But, for me, I was just trying to get out of an older car and was under pressure to get back to work so, I pulled the trigger. I like all of the features that the Atlas has but, I don’t need 3 rows and, frankly, I don’t think it’s as polished looking, as the Touareg.

@privateprivate8366

@@BigTiggerP I wish I’d bought the 2017. I think it is the last year the Touareg was made available in the US and I think it has remote start. To my understanding, the Touareg has better tow capacity, than the Atlas, if you ever have the need to do that. I don’t know that they all come with a hitch, but mine did, which is perfect for the foldable cargo carrier I just bought. From what I read, this car is too heavy for the tires, however. I knew that, when I purchased it, but I have short commute. Still, it hurt, when I had to pay $1,500 for new tires. Do, I still love the car? I do. It isn’t by comparison though. While I was coming out of a 2006 Outback, I did not compare to other, applicable makes, models, and year. While I’ve seen videos about the problems with Touaregs, for this V6 Lux, I have had none. Some problems are individual to the car, more than the product line. I had that experience with a 2004 Audi allroad. Nice car. Same Tiptronic trans. But it came straight from Hell. I feel that, with a number of cars on the road now, though, dependent upon your financial means, when it does eventually start to have problems, costs will rack up quickly. For that and for the reality of the modern day, crapped up jobs market, I do love this car, but still wish I could’ve held onto the never dying 2006 Outback, even with leaky head gasket issues.
