Hey Gary! It's life man. We all have dreams, aspirations etc...I remember seeing Neil Young on photos in music magazines back in the early 70's and saying to myself, "One day, One day...I'll have a D-45." People pursue different things for different tastes. It's all good! Have a great day!

@José Benito Martínez Jr. wonderful. May I ask if you think there's a tonal improvement with the d45, or d41 or 42 guitars, over the d28s or hd35? I thought you mentioned owning several different martin guitars so thought I'd ask. I'm sorry if that's a dumb question but I'm pretty new to acoustics and plan to buy one this year.

What always strikes me about the d 45's is they always seem to sound fantastic even though made with EIN and sitka. They do something extra special with those D 45's. Great choice and beautiful guitar. Don't worry about tuning. Temperature and humidity will always change tuning.

Having owned a D-18, 21, 28 and other Martin's is so true what you say. I think it it's in the wood. It has to be a better grade of wood! The sound gets better as time goes by. It was tight at the beginning now more bass response without being overwhelming. Highs not to bright!

4 жыл бұрын
It all depends. Are you going to use it for stage night? To record in studio? Then perhaps it's the way to go. I have Gibson's straight from the factory with LR Baggs VTC installed and they are great! I choose the Martin for that very strong booming sound and doesn't disappoint! It gets louder as I play more and I believe that as it settles with the climate, played a lot, it has opened more. In my opinion no need for electronics. All my Martins none. It's your Martin try to play one with or without a pickup system if you can. Based on that move forward! I'm happy for you!

I am really surprised it is shipped in such a flimsy box. I have seen what UPS and the others do to boxes, they really could care less. Plus the logo is displayed right on the outside plainly to see, I don't get it!? Thats easily a $8,000 to $10,000 guitar. Congrats-she is beautiful. I played one back in the early 70's, it ruined me for others for life!!

Hi Robert.I have received some low-budget $-200 that arrived damaged. Just returned them for a replacement or asked for money back. This dealer doesn't ship double boxed like Sweetwater would. Arrived in perfect condition! Thank you!

Guitars should always be de-tuned during shipping or risk having a crack in the wood due to string tension which generates around 180 lb. of tension when fully tuned to 440. I'm a little shocked that anyone who would purchase a new D-45 wouldn't know that.
5 жыл бұрын
Bryce, like I have said often in this post. Gibson & Martin ships all guitars from the factory in tune. I have friends at the Martin plants in the USA & México who have confirmed. I have received ALL my guitars from the Bozeman MT Gibson plant in tune drop shipped to my California home. Martin's plant from Pennsylvania to dealer then to me in 5 to 10 days still sealed box but all slightly off in pitch. Understandable due to climate change etc....!!

Hi, thanks for your video. I am planning to buy a Martin however I heard from many people say the binding of Martin guitar is easy to loose and separate from the guitar. Is it really the case? What do you think?
5 жыл бұрын
Hello! I have owned many Martin American made and several Mexican assembled ones. NEVER had had an issue with any of them! The only issue would be that the factory set-uo action can be high! That is a subjective preference. Binding no. They have a great consistency. Gibson's that's a different story. Taylor just lie Martin so well built!

José Benito Martínez Jr. Thank you for your advice. Did you humidify the guitars? I live in Hong Kong which is quite humid in some time of the year.

Hello@@tubeball123! Here in California where I live is near the desert. I do need to humidify my guitars. I keep them 45-50% . High humid areas like yours it's a different challenge. You have to reduce the amount of humidity.

I bought it from a 5 Star Martin dealer! Music Villa. Great price and customer service. Owner ordered it from Martin Guitar and was shipped to the dealer. Not opened by my request and then sent to me! Reason is that here in California I pay taxes and outside states no taxes on most states. Plus a big discount!!
