Don’t listen to the folks that say that your player will destroy your records, because it really won’t, the tracking force (weight on your vinyl) is within spec of vinyls made in the 60s-80s, which are much thinner and lower quality than new records, I do recommend you get something much better if you can, but the Cruiser is a great player for beginners, it’s simple, and easy to set up and use Ignore the audio snobs who only listen to the people with billions of dollars they can spend

They won’t ruin your vinyls🤦🏼♀️ They are perfectly fine for beginners. I use one now and it is perfectly fine. The only thing I have noticed it that it does skip sometimes but it’s not exactly a problem. I know this could also be due to scratched vinyls but i have tried my vinyls on other record players and it hasn’t skipped, so honestly if skipping doesn’t bother you, you’re totally fine. (Also just easy to use in general for beginners)

Over time they will ruin your vinyls. It’s fine to have it but if you’re serious about vinyls then I wouldn’t recommend getting one. Like you said, suitcase players skip on perfectly fine vinyls. The audio quality is also not the best but that doesn’t really matter. The biggest problem is how they will wear down your vinyls over time. It’s fine if you’re not so serious about it but vinyls are expensive so I think it’s pretty important. But if you’re only using it once in a while then that’s fine. (Also this may just be my opinion but I believe most turntables are easy to use.)

I have an old 1956 suitcase record player (philco d1335) and it has much worse tracking force than this. My grandparents played a specific record very often since 1964. That exact copy of the record (at last from etta James) still sounds great even though it has been played extremely often. In conclusion, cheap record players will not effect your records noticeably, dirty records and broken needles will.

@@brendachavez4929 kinda late to reply but I get that it’s affordable and all but I always tell people to keep saving up cause eventually you’ll be able to afford a good Record player such as the Audio-Technica AT-LP60X-BK. The Crosley Record Player has a terrible needle which messes up the records because of how heavy it is and can eventually Warp the records since they hang off the sides. Didn’t try to come off rude but these turntables just annoy me.

@@tonowaridamn $100?! If it was like $50 or $60 that’d be a different story but you can get a turntable that’s not a suitcase player for that same price. Buying a Crosley instead of something legit like Audio Technica is like going to Walmart and buying Great Value fruit loops instead of actual Kelloggs fruit loops. Product research is key.
