I thought BC Rich was defunct. It’s really cool to learn that they’re back and getting this sort of exposure. Now, I need to find the name of the black BC rich single-cut with a rotary toggle-switch, that my dad had for about a week in 1990. I’ve never seen another like it.

@@DoctorFish10 Just checked & nope. I have no idea what model it was. It was a basically a Les Paul copy. I remember it had a rotary switch, which I’d never had on a guitar before. @@hailmaryrecordings8255 Since you said your dad was a collector, it's possible that the guitar had a previous owner and said previous owner maybe stole a rotary switch off of a Mockingbird or something like that and just wired that in instead of the regular Les Paul switch, since that was the only guitar I could find that came with a rotary varitone from the factory. Edit: I did find ONE BC Rich Les paul copy guitar called a Stryker, and it's signed by the Journey band members. Edit #2: Scratch that, I found two, both Black. One is a Stryker, other is just called a BC Rich LP, apparently made in 1991 that is also all black, but has the normal les paul switch down by the knobs, whereas the Stryker is a normal Les Paul button layout. However, I found a BC Rich Les Paul Bass that had the rotary switch, but it's not black.

In general I've always disliked the Warlock guitars and never became fanatical for Stranger things but a friend of mine got the $899 version of this guitar when they first released it in which I quickly learned the story behind it at my place of work where I'm a full time guitar repair tech now but I've also been working on guitars since the mid 80s and my clients tell me they love my setups and I love doing the work So that being said this friend had me set his up for him I was actually impressed with the look And straight out of the box felt the guitar was also not half bad as for a factory setup compared to most other guitars I see at even way higher price points and trust me I see many ever day I go to work The look & feel of this guitar is great imho regardless of what I'm hearing The neck, fretwork is nicely done with no fret sprout and the satin finish on the back of neck is a very cool touch The body has great mass with a super nice finish and feel to the finish The Floyd works fine just as it should which i see no issues with once set up It flutters & dive bombs very well returning to pitch with no issues but if you understand any decent locking trem there's no reason it shouldn't The fine tuners turn nice and smooth with no gritty feel which is more than I can say for so many others at a much higher price point The pickups sound great to me and have plenty shred power with awesome slightly scooped mid tone I'm actually impressed with this beast of a guitar Price wise when comparing to what I see everyday where I work there's really nothing to bitch about and it even comes with a very nice red & black gig bag made very well, has 3 nice sized pockets and custom to fit the contents To be fair and honest about the 2 that I've worked on at this point I think this is nice guitar regardless of what Im seeing and hearing in some of the reviews around the web I see so many guitars every day with ridiculous price tags way higher than this and don't even include any kind of carry bag or case Not to mention the storyline behind this guitar makes it even that much cooler

*Disclaimer: I love "Stranger Things", I think it's one of the very few ONLY new shows that isn't garbage. Also I am a musician and been playing guitar for 23+ years. That said...I really like the character of Eddie Munson, the scene with him playing that song was so above and beyond pretty much ANY scene on any show ever where a character plays guitar. He was ACTUALLY playing the correct parts, even the lead parts we could see were correct. Which of course as we all know now...is because the actor can actually play the guitar. It was a great casting job and it brought my respect for the duffer bros to an even higher tier that they bothered to put that much attention to detail as to make sure the guitar playing looked real.... seriously...this is NOT something that EVER happens on shows or movies in general. It's so incredibly rare. Apparently I cannot give this enough praise to reach the level of praise that this attention to detail deserves.... Ok...that said.... ENOUGH already with the Eddie Munson fever lol. I was right there with everyone else and loved the scene, I loved the boost Metallica got from it, I loved seeing Metallica embrace it and embrace Eddie Munsons actor and even play with him on stage. Such a genuine cool classy move. But it's officially getting out of hand, or off the rails or whatever is the best description. An Eddie Munson GUITAR now? Come on...really? While I do love the idea of players paying attention to B.C Rich again...this just doesn't...feel quite right. It doesn't feel genuine and natural like all the previous things that paid tribute to one of the coolest scenes on any show ever. I'm very worried the pendulum is going to swing the other way and unfortunately it's already seeming to be happening. Metallica's "new" fans are discovering old AF footage and stuff about Metallica that they don't like...aww. Thru are trying to spam their "D n D" "Cancel" spell on them as we speak. Their are now bizarre "anti Eddie" tik tok phase emerging for...idefk why but it's happening. I don't know why our society is so horribly broken...but enjoy these guitars and things now because that pendulum is just getting started.

Id like to be one of those people that reminisce about their first guitar, I honestly do not remember a single thing about playing it, it was decades ago. I sold it to a friend for 100 bucks and I bought a brand new Gun Metal gray Charvel USA with a single Hum and Kahler, pointy headstock along with a CRATE G40C combo. I will say I do remember how comfortable the Warlock actually was and I like the headstock of these NJ models.
