I've admired this tool for several years but didn't have enough use for it to justify buying one. This morning I received one from my brother and I'm surprised how delighted that made me. I think my first project will be to build a box to store and carry the Jessem. I look forward to seeing what you do with yours.

Great idea for the storage case. I should do the same! I think my first project will be an MDF mirror frame though. A friend asked me to build one for him, and it would be a simple project to get started 👍

I found Jessem’s customer service to be excellent. Had a small issue with one of their mitre gauges that they make… the problem was rectified immediately.

Just got my master kit seems very well-made this will be the only tool that I use for jointing too many reviews talking about the strength of this joint versus other joints it’s a no brainer

Nice! I can't wait to put mine through it's paces (as soon as it's not -15C/59F in the shop, lol!!)

Hey Buddy - I have one as well, but somehow I am a bit unsatisfied with the precision - producing corner joints with 19mm thick laminated chip board always results in slight overhang (2-3/10ths of a milimeter). Did you experience the same?

You made a good choice. I’ve been using mine for a couple of years and love it. I should of bought the Master kit, but only purchased the 3/8th set. So, I ended up buying the 1/4” guide afterwards. The only thing so far that I’ve found it’s lacking is the ability to do dowels on mitered edges. I’m working on a jig so I can use the jessum on mitered edges. If you come up with something, please share. Enjoy! Thanks for the video. Wished this was available prior to my purchase.

Could you add a video on performing those joints you talked about at the end? I've read that some users had issue with 3/4" stock because the center line on the jig was well below the material. Like going into the end grain.

Good afternoon, I'll try to make a video of different joints once I'm more familiar with the jig. It will probably be in a few months when it's warmer in the shop. For the 3/4 stock: the measurements on the jig are from the clamping plate to the center of the holes. To have the holes centred in a 3/4" board you would have to tighten it at the 3/8 mark (That number doesn't appear on the jig, but it's between the 1/4 and 1/2 marks -- sorry if that was obvious). Feel like reading? Place your workpieces in position and draw your reference lines. For drilling dowel holes on the end grain piece you would use the bottom center line (marked C/L -- visible at 2:08 in the video). Your reference line needs to be long enough to be visible. For the dowel holes on the top of the board: The sight hole at 1:57 does gets obstructed by the bottom piece when it's set for thinner material. You could set the Jig at the 1" mark (where the sight hole is open for business) and clamp it to your workpiece. Once it's clamped, you loosen the main nob and match the settings on the first piece. If your reference line is long enough you can also use the "alignment slot" to position the jig. The alignment slot would be the "beak" that's lined up with the middle hole of each Drill Guides. Is there a limit to comment length? I kinda got carried away!! lol Thanks for you comment, and let me know if this makes any sense. Cheers!

I've used it pretty exclusively on 3/4 material and haven't found an issues. It's been spot on centered actually. Just as a precaution, I make sure I know which side I'm attaching the jig to on both pieces just to make sure, but even in instances when I'd forgotten, pieces still lined up perfect, which confirmed that the jig was centering correctly. Have you seen a lot of this issue?

The center line on mine is perfect. I've recently completed several projects using 3/8 dowels, one project using 60 dowels and it all came together perfectly
