I'll be looking for one of those baritones when they come out. I would love to try it with Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbuckers and they Jimmy Page 4 push/pull mod like I have on my Gibson Les Paul, cuz I already get the best tones I've ever heard from that guitar, but can only imagine how it would work out on a baritone.

Harley Benton actually has some VERY good priced baritone guitars. Never seen, nor played...nor even heard one, so take that for what it is worth. Also remember when it comes to baritone guitars there are MANY options available that effect a LOT, scale length, fan fret, and such. Baritone guitars are an entire beast unto themselves.

Awesome looking Harley Benton!! Love that sandblast look. Just wish they would come out with a sandblasted Jazzmaster like Jim Roots red one. Wonder why Fender didn't release it as a signature because that thing would've flown off the shelves.

That baritone and those cleans are pretty nice, I use EB prodigy picks mainly but I always loved Dunlop picks the green 1.25s, so I might try the max grips.

@@Highrollinhunter I had an Ibanez Roadstar 530 (I think was the model) when I was like 17, I got from a Pawn shop in Ohio and wish I still had it. I also have a Tim Henson Thbb10 Ibanez the Mark Holcomb walnut 7 string PRS also a couple others but I've been abstaining from buying anymore lately. One of my Ltd.'s WA models I put the Hetfield EMG's in and it looks pretty awesome. sorry I had to nerd out with ya just love the gear lol.

You can go down to as low as drop F on a 28 and still have good intonation and it's a 6 string so if you ain't into 8 strings it's a good option any lower like drop E 30 and longer

I'm using a tortoise shell pick that was made in the mid 1960's. It was given to me by my guitar teacher and I use it a lot. Other than that, I use picks from Guitar Center that I sand the gloss off of with some 2000 grit sandpaper.

I'm a Flying V lover I wish some can make a 28 inch baritone Flying V with 24 frets and Fishman fluence modern pickups or an Flying V bass with an active preamp.

@@Highrollinhunter I feel ya, man. I wish more brands would do Flying V or Explorer baritones as well. An Epi version of either would be great, but unfortunately I don't see that happening soon, so currently the only way to get those with those specs are going the semi-custom or custom route.

Love it!! The clean tone even sounded decent, especially; for being tuned to drop A. I think I do like the lighter slightly better on the back of the guitar.

Oh and please update us on those picks! I use Dunlop Gator Grips the most, but I’ve been curious about those Max Grips.
If the signature is affordable enough, I expect that it'll sell out quick. The market for affordable baritone guitars seems to going up as bands like Loathe are getting more popular. The Squier baritone Jazzmaster went from like $300 to over $900 on the used market recently. I'm not gonna lie, I'm interested in seeing what the hype is all about myself

I switched to a carbon jazz 3 a few months ago, after playing a more “normal” sized standard pick for years (as well as hardwood picks I made myself from local species of trees) and I love the carbon jazz3 picks now. They play so nicely. I have been so surprised by how much I notice the playing experience

I think I found my first baritone guitar. And those max grip picks are all I use now. I've always had a problem with smooth picks just flying out of my hand or getting turned around really easily. The max grip ones solve those problems for me, really good for fast chugging.

I'll second an upgrade to HB's BC Rich copies, but Hunter doesn't like pointy guitars, so I don't think he's the guy they should go to for that. But those things definitely need a headstock redesign, higher spec, and more varied colour options.

I use Max Grip Jazz III picks for years now. My favourite is the red jazz III Max Grips . There's 3 main types : Nylon (Red), Stiffo (much stiffer Nylon material), Carbon Fiber.

I've been using carbon fiber max grip jazz iii's for about two years now. Very durable material, in the perfect shape with a rock solid grip texture! I've crossed the event horizon and will never be going back!

With the max-grip picks, the only difference I noticed was that the nylon was grippier than the carbon fiber.

I do have to say that I think the back looked better on the model that let you see that beautiful roasted maple as opposed to the finish on the back of the baritone. I know it's the back of the guitar so it's not the end of the world, but that's just like my opinion..man

I was a diehard original Jazz III guy for a long time. Max-Grips were a revelation. Then I discovered the 2mm Big Stubby and have never used anything else.

I used the Max Grip picks for years until I found the Flow picks also from Dunlop. I still use the Max Grips on occasion, but I found that the extra stiffness from the Flows just felt better to me. There Grips are sick, though when you break them in after a few minutes of playing.

I'm not an LP guy, but I'm gonna buy that baritone edit: I'm too excited to spell apparently lol Also, I've tried both the Carbon fiber and the Stiffo (lol) Max Grip Picks. The Carbon Fiber ended up being too stiff for me, but the Stiffo ended up being just right. The stiffo is stiffer than the regular Jazz III's but that grip is soooooooo nice. You can really dig in with these but they still have the smallest bit of bend. The dynamics you can get with these is insane. I've used Jazz Picks for the last ten years and of that i've used the Stiffo for the last four, but I did twoish years of carbon fiber before that. The Stiffo is my all time pick of choice
