If I'm right, you used the Grand Piano sound only a couple seconds in that video... Piano category colors : - White : Grand Piano. - Green : Dark Grand Piano. - Red : Bright Grand Piano. - Blue : Harpsichord. You were using mostly the Green sound which is not the Grand Piano sound... I think it's kinda misleading, you should have mostly played the Grand Piano sound which is the main sound of the keyboard. In my opinion the Grand Piano sound of this keyboard is not the best but it's way better than the Dark Grand Piano sound that you were mostly using in the video. It think it hasn't been done on purpose but it mislead people .

You guys need to do a video based purely on action and feel. Blind fold challenge for midi controllers under 1k 88 weighted keys. Just use a couple of the piano patches from keyscape. I'd recommend doing Sl studiologic grand Sl studiologic studio Roland a-88 mk2 Doepfler Akai travel 88 or whatever the hell it's called. I'd like to see more emphasis on hardware and keybeds. Wooden vs ivory touch vs plastic etc. This channel is great and hilarious. But it could be more dynamic in terms of feel. Not just sounds

We’ll give it a try Walnut and thanks for the suggestion. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from being around so many keyboards for so long is that everyone’s idea of a “good” action is so different from person to person. This is was the first board for a while which I felt was limiting in terms of it’s mechanism but then I only play limited stuff. We will try a blindfolded midi controller video though 100% and thanks again for watching mate Xx

@@TamirOrkobysPiano I've got the Alesis man, and the sound i get with that piano is better than the Kawaï Upright of my girl. She even realize what is it ! The Alesis Prestige is exactly the same as the Korg and some Roland at 1000€ price, the quality construction is almost the same, the only reason why the price is around 500€ is because the workforce. These pianos are built in Korea or China.... The cost of manufacturing is cheaper and therefore the piano is cheaper. That's all. It's exactly the same debate as between Squier and Fender. Recently, I wanted to buy myself a Mexican Fender at 600 €, but having also seen the Classic Vibe available, I wanted to make the comparison. Before even starting to play, I was already convinced and certain that the Fender would be better in terms of feel and playing comfort ... well, not at all. To me the Squier sounded much better and the only reason I will buy the Fender more than the Squier is the "Fender" logo inscribed on the bridge of the guitar. It's for show off and nothing more. My Alesis is excellent as a piano, and I really don't see the reason why I will ever change it. What interests me is the sound and the playing comfort, and at all levels, this keyboard does the job. You can talk to me in technical language, that doesn't interest me at all. We are talking about musical instruments, not computers. (although there are electronic components inside.

So for a budget piano, FP10 remains the better option (key action wise)?
@mlgl9728
3 жыл бұрын
For a little more, you find the Kawai ES110 and the Yamaha P125, being both overall better and in every single department. Try considering the FP30. This Alesis, as far as I'm concerned, is a piece of garbage. The action really sucks. Relatively easy to find both the Kawai and the Yamaha cheaper than the Alesis .And at this price segment/category, the key action should prevail when it comes to make the decision. Still soundwise both the Kawai and the Yamaha blow this Alesis out of the water. It's a no brainer.

@@brymills play by yourself. Test it. Play several songs, passages, take your time in order to assess the key action. Afterwards, If you have the chance, test the P125 and the ES110. Draw your conclusions. I've been working in one of the biggest music centers here in Europe and I've literally spent hundreds and hundreds of hours playing digital pianos. Hands down, this Alesis is the worst option available in this segment/bracket. Even several Casio models blow this one out of the water.

Which ones do you recommend?
@batner
Жыл бұрын
@@goodvibes7614 Depends on your use case. What music do you play, at which level and how mobile you need it. It is all in the key mechanics, all of the digitals can be connected to a computer and software plugins used to make better piano sounds than anything possible in a cheap built-in computer of the instrument itself. The better the key mechanics the more you pay and the more it all weights. Usually the more expensive pianos get the better built-in sound engine as well. Yamaha and Kawai make good at several levels of key mechanics for digital pianos. So you have a choice there. Casio is weird IMHO, Roland are OK.
