I literally just bought the OG Slicer like 2 months ago. Damn it! Now I want to upgrade. Anyway, love your pedal demo. I have been missing you reviewing pedals so bad (fingers crossed for PedalsAndEffects coming back one day). More of your new pedal/gear reviews or even first impressions/deep dives into vintage gear would be most welcome. I'd also LOVE to see random jams either guitar-based or synth, drum machine, and sampler-based videos from you in the future. And if you ever go the Patreon route, I (and I suspect more of your subscribers) would be so down with that.

For anyone curious (and please correct me if I’m wrong): there’s around 100 new Slicer patterns for SL-2 (vs. SL-20 and MD-500/200), between the factory 88 and the several more available through the computer Tone Studio (?) app (app also makes the original 50 SL-20 patterns available for SL-2). However, Boss MD-500 (which on the surface appears to only have the original 50 SL-20 patterns) allows one to make their own User patterns (onboard or via computer app), while SL-2 apparently does not currently allow for custom User patterns. MD-500 Slicer patterns can sequence several effects in addition to pitch, etc., but MD-500 lacks the two 3D stereo panning styles available on SL-20 and SL-2. So… gotta catch ‘em all?? 😅

Might have to get used to more tap dancing and use the Looper on my Timeline with it. I messed with the Pattern Trem on my Mobius, but don't have time to build my own awesome patterns. What will probably sell me on the SL-2 are the stereo options. Did you get to try the 3-D modes? Thanks!

To NICK REINHART and Friends of "HA HA Right On": Nick is an ARTIST plain and simple.....there is just no way around this.....He oozes ideas, inspirations, creations .......He exhibits the never-ending ongoing thoughts of "What if I tried THIS" I honestly think the man could/would stop creating.....even if he had to........ A type of endless curious blizzard of possibilities ....and an absolute intolerance for boredom coupled with a sort of child-like curiosity..... One gets the feeling that if you were to sit him down with a "coloring book and crayons" and told him to "Only color within the lines and use the numbers on each space to match with the color assigned to that number (like paint by numbers)....Doing that with a guy like Nick would be to deprive everyone of the Genius -like ideas that would come from someone that really should be left alone to create What he will....dam the rules, dam the traditions, and conventions....Just give Nick the tools (which he would probably modify anyway) and stand back....and behold....What he will come up with...Well, God only knows but one thing you can be sure of....It WILL be interesting, and ORIGINAL.....Above all else one could say about the upcoming advanced Artificial Intelligence soon to come about.....even with it's supposed ability to do "Art" and write "music"...No matter how "advanced" it ever becomes it WILL NEVER...COULD NEVER" posses the spark that is in people like NICK REINHART....People like Nick are true rare diamonds,...one of a kind snowflakes that are precious beyond compare and simply not duplicate able...they really add meaning and depth to what it means to be called "Human Being"

i had the old one, but my setup was already kind of too complex and the utility i had for it was not really worth how much space it would have taken up on my board. idk if i need the reissue, or if just copping an old one would be smart... either way, i wish it had presets saveable cuz i sometimes hate reaching down to twiddle knobs once a set starts.
