One of the best uboxing and review videos I've ever seen🔥 it had everything, from the information to the honesty to the kid knocking on the door wanting to be in the video 😂😂. Loved every minute of it. And it made me want an Apollo 11, despite the failures to eject!! Keep em coming man this was truly enjoyable to watch til the very end

Check out your video closely very closely the problem you’re having is with your ejector a good ejector will send the cartridge or the casing out of the pistol in a consistent manner your casings were all over the place it did not have A continuous pattern.

Sure was the extractor. Great eye. It’s known as “extractor clocking” in 1911’s. When the back plate isn’t secure, the rod clocks back and forth causing the extractor to not return to its original position. Thank you for that. Going to do an “Under The Hood” w/ this one soon to share an update on this build. It’s been running amazing since those parts were switched.

yeah bro that grip safety is the root of evil on the apollos. i found the the work around though. you have to do the towel twist move when you put your hands together. if you do it , that grip safety sinks in the way its supposed to do. try it before you go changing stuff around and spending money you could otherwise save. I am also going to rubberized the grip so that hollow cheap sound will disappear and it should feel more comfortable. It also has a light 7 lb spring, so I use 115 grain. It likes those .The feed ramp needs polishing right out of the box as well. Between grains the feed ramp and adjusting your grip for the safety, there are your problems. I found out all this the hard way.

Woooooow!!! Sure wish I had your comment sooner, Brother. I’ll be doing an update video on it but we’ve definitely changed out a lot to fix that issue. It was the Extractor. Had to replace it but waited until I switched into the C2 Grip! It moves beyond smooth now!

Why do 2011 / double stack 1911 shooters by the low price 2011 / 1911 and then upgrade you might as well just buy more expensive one and get everything that you want I don't get it but it's your money😅😅😅 you might as well spend the money and got a bul armory or an atlas compare Apple to apples get a stock prodigy and compare it to a stock live from armory or Mac 9
@GotGammage

Great point… I think this is the age old question for all of us that tinker. You’re thinking of the dollar amount, when that point, I don’t believe, is the reason. We do it 1.Because upgrading a gun part by part is fun. Similar to upgrading a car. 2.You’re right, upgrading to the price of what you would have paid for a more quality piece is ridiculous. I agree lol. But I’m not sure who’s doing that. It sounds good but parts for a 1911/2011 platform are super inexpensive. All new internals cost around $120 (same that are in Staccato’s and Atlas, on top of a $950 firearm… you’re still less than a stock Prodigy or Mac9. But I do get your point. It’s crazy world for tinkerers like me. lol we can be wild sometimes

Good video. If you are right handed, why don't you put the gun down on the table with the ejection port facing up? It will make it easier on yourself when you put it down, and when you go pick it up, you just have to come over the top of the gun....
@GotGammage

Thank You! And I couldn't honestly tell you why I switch back and forth between the two. At times I lay it as you mentioned (ejection down) then there are times I place it as you suggested (ejection up). Not sure, Brudda, but I agree that ejection up allows for smoother grab and go. Thanks for noticing.
