I’m going to file some indents on the toggle end to prevent the toggle from moving once it’s tight.

Well, in reality, the lightest saw in the world is the Micro-lite Saw by Renegade. Swapping out the Bosch blade with a 10" precision wood blade ( t-shank ) makes the entire saw cost $31 from Garage Grown Gear and weighing in at 49 grams. I will get some pics posted to GGGear in the next week.

I really like the fact that the blade is cheap and accessible. Most good saws have their own proprietary blades that are as much as a new saw. I dig this thing for sure!!

Looks like a cool idea... Maybe just pack a short piece of dowel rod of the right diameter.. no weight added. Can't wait to see this in action!

Could I build one myself for a bit less cost? Yes, BUT my time is valuable, so I just dumped the $70 shipped. Not bad for the weight it’ll save me! I LOVE that I can use so many blades with this right from my local hardware store! Well worth every Penny! It also turned me on to investing in 180’ of that Zing-it dymeema cord! Super stoked!!!!

It is quite the ingenious design, I could build one for a little cheaper but i love to support small companies and people that are trying to make a difference so it was defiantly worth it to me.

I found if you wrap the handle ( tube) with hockey stick tape ...it works great ... but... you loose the cool Carbon fiber look.

It is a little slippery, buy there is a lot of handle so it does really well on that front. It is a great product and i highly recommend it.

I agree! I priced all the components on Amazon and I can build my own for 50 bucks. Plus I have 100 feet of extra cordage and 2 other 12 inch blades. Build your own its way cheaper!

@@troycastor5318 I agree but I can do it for a lot lower than $50. I'd say around $25 - $30 tops.

A SILKY blade full tang with 24cm blade weighs a third less and is dirt cheap, meaning also costs only a third, just saying...

Tried silky for a year and broke three blades. At 30$ a blade that adds up quick. This saw cuts just as good and if i break the blade it is half the price.

@@Mountain_Maxx lol - how on earth do you break a pulling saw that is used without any force? Mine - and the ones of my buddies are going strong for years - not to mention they retain sharpness amazingly!

I would say there is about 5-6, It is nice because you can just go to home depot and buy any kind of blade you want to suit your needs.

Lol this sucker actually paid the extra 30 bucks for the sawzall blade that costs 5 dollars at Home Depot. I’m sorry but 90 bucks for essentially just a tube and a string.. and you still need to supply a stick lol. Doesn’t even come with small metal rod. I would’ve been much happier if they just made a plastic version and sold it for 3 bucks

Ok sucker go ahead a do it then. If you think you can do it better, by all means no one is stopping you.
