Gil is correct about the NFL players holding out. This isn't 1987, the times have changed with gambling and TV deals. A lot of people would lose money if the players held out for even half of the season. The NFL players are brainwashed or they really have CTE if they think they can't make a change. They are selling themselves short. Gil is absolutely right.

They don't have a problem with Caitlyn Clark bringing in revenue. They have a problem with her being put on a pedestal like she's the best player in the league without even playing a game. Y'all (all media members) just jumped her over all the ladies who've BEEN balling for years. Of course the vets who've BEEN putting it down gonna feel a way, Y'ALL shitting on them like they're trash. And let's be 💯, the revenue & viewership has went up but not just because of Clark, Angel Reese & Rikea Jackson been working too; but even still, it's the same boring ass game that's been on for years. And then you got goofies like Jeff Teague & Colin Cowherd talking about play her tough but let her get off and the WNBA shoulda gave her an easy schedule to start. Man gtfoh, if she was like that then she wouldn't need them to LET her get off or NEED the league to give her an easy schedule to start. The money gonna be what it's gonna be. All y'all were pro athletes, y'all know DAMN WELL that when "THE NEXT GREAT THING!" walked y'all's leagues with all they unearned hype, y'all wanted to check them temperatures to see if they real. They don't have to back down or hold their tongues, they don't owe Caitlyn nothing. 💯

On the topic of Supermax contracts and opting out to get a bigger deal later. A player doesn't know if he'll be healthy in 12 months. Freak injuries happen, ACL, MCL, Achille's tear and all of a sudden you didn't sign your contract extension, securing your money, you sustained a season ending injury that requires surgery and 6 months+ to recover AND you're now a free agent. What do you do then? It's a gamble and I don't blame players for taking the security over potential.
