This is another tune from Uncle John Hamilton which was found in the Brother Giles tune book (page 16.) Uncle John was the brother of Hiram William's mother and a local character in Bardstown, KY who never seemed to work but played a lot of fiddle, especially at dances. John was a bootlegger but ran afoul of the sheriff (who was his mother's first cousin) and eventually left town to live in Nashville, IL.
If you have been following along with the other tunes in this channel, you know that Brother Giles, CFX was a fiddle player and a collector of local tunes. He wrote them down in a notebook which is in the St. Joseph Prep archives housed in Spalding Hall, now the Whiskey Museum in Bardstown.
