If no one has already mentioned... It wasn't the loggers cutting less... it was the saw mills shutting down because of government restrictions in closed quarters work environments.... Happened in Canada too, there was no one to process the logs so they stopped cutting them.

Yes and no. My husband and his brother are log truck drivers and they never lost hours / loads. Just longer wait times at certain mills because they were shorthanded

Getting turtles out of the road is a spring pastime for our family as well. We live along the Mississippi River and nearly every road is along the Mississippi or a tributary leading to it. Every spring the females head out looking for a place to lay their eggs, and we may stop 3 or 4 times on any given trip 🐢😁

At 5:30 you can see the road starting to concave where pipe runs under road... this will collect water during rain and traffic will spash the sand and gravel out....eventually creating potholes

The one time I had an interaction with a bullfrog, I was trying to take it away from the street to the back of the property where there was a pond. Shortest path was through my home, and it showed its appreciation by watering my carpet. Thanks, frog. :(

Very NICE job unclogging that culvert post 10! They really should build some kind of wall or foundation to stop the gravel from blocking the culvert. Very GOOD job saving the turtle as well!

Those logging machines. Some strip all the shoots and branches and cut the trunks into equal, predetermined sizes, automatically. One man can do in under 1min what would've taken one man half a day to do, only a couple of decades ago. Incredible to watch. A little bit scary how easy it is to commoditise something that has taken decades to grow.
