When I was younger, the summer camp I worked at had black widows all over the woods. They'd often nest in the campers' tents - even mine! You learned to accept they'd be there, and that they weren't going to bite if you didn't mess with them... but still, plenty of spider removal going on some years.

It’s the same here in the UK. In the 1800 things were built to last, they say technology has helped us to move forward, I wouldn’t say so in the building industry. Things have taken a massive step back. Thinks that are being built now won’t be around in 50 years never mind 100 years. My house was built in 1890 and is as strong now as the day it was built. Now it’s build fast and cheap.

I learn so much from watching Post10 videos. Maybe when manufacturing the culverts they could be double or triple coated on the bottom to preserve the life a bit longer.

Main problem I could see from spinning the culvert to make it last longer would be the degraded rusted part would be the part on the top supporting the weight on top of it. The rust would weaken the strength and possibly lead to cave in's under the road.

Yes, it sure does leave a ring in the toilet. We have an artesian well and have the water tested every year. It's potable but when we can afford it we will be putting in a treatment system.

My guess is that yellow rope at the end is for someones minnow trap. The pool at the culverts discharge is a good spot to catch them.
