What a lie. Timeshares that are for sale online have a inflateted maint fee that you pay them and they pay the lower maint time share fee because they still own it you don't. Don't do it.

Hello Wayne, what happens when timeshare owners stop making their monthly payments and annual fees or default on their scam infested contracts?

That depends. Where is the timeshare located? That is my first question for you.

I went to Vegas became a timeshare owner with somerpointe resorts/rci back in February got it for about 13k. I kinda regret my decision but trying to make the best out of it. We will return to Vegas for our 3day complimentary stay next February and also we have to attend another presentation

Thanks for your comment. You could have purchased that same timeshare for about $1.00 - $100 online. Visit this site created for those who desire to sell their unwanted timeshares. www.sellmytimesharenow.com/timeshare/Somerpointe+Resorts/affiliation/buy-timeshare/ You DO NOT have attend another presentation. Nobody can make you attend another "sales" presentation. Get the book Everything About Timeshares that will show you how to best use your timeshare if you decide to keep it. It also contains an abundance of info that the timeshare industry does not want owners to know about. Sells on Amazon. Best of luck.

How insensitive of you telling them the BAD news after they already paid $13k! Telling them they could have bought a resale timeshare for a mere $100. Have a heart....timeshares can destroy a marriage.

Truth sometimes hurts. The average timeshare owner has three timeshares. I tell the truth about the timeshare industry to prevent consumers from being scammed. Sadly, more and more seniors are being scammed out of their life's savings. This is why I call myself the Truthful Timeshare Expert. Regarding the marriage thing, I would presuppose that there were existing unresolved issues before they purchased the timeshare that may destroy the marriage.

DO NOT attend your 3 day complimentary stay. YOU WILL buy more timeshare. The stay is designed to sell you more timeshare - unless it is at a different property.

Wouldn't it just be easier to sell a product that you didn't have to entice people to come in to see with free gifts and then not let them leave for upwards of 4-6 Plus hours? And then when you're met with resistance you increase the pressure on the potential buyer because you're trying to sell them something that you started at a super high price and then go three rounds of reducing the price and bringing in different people to see if you can get them to crack. I'm sorry but I think it would be easier to find a product that you can sell that when people come in they haven't been offered free crap just to get them in the door. You should want to sell a product that pretty much when they come in they need it, they want it, and there is some negotiation involved and questions and answers required but they're very open because it's something that is required and necessary. I know this may boggle your mind but there are many many different types of products you can sell and make a terrific living that people need in their lives and will let you sleep at night comfortably. Well, I think a lot of the people that sell timeshare really sleep fine at night because they don't really have morals they're willing to do whatever it takes to make their money including lying

Brad, I understand your negative perspective towards the timeshare industry. In fact, I don't blame you for feeling this way. However, there are some things that you need to understand to gain a broader perspective. Most timeshare companies spend millions of dollars in marketing for advertisements and gifts and staff. For any business, profit is the primary objective. so, they must see a return on those marketing costs ASAP. When consumers attend a timeshare presentation the company is already in the red. so, they need to generate a profit. If they don't get the sale the same day, most people will never return no matter how good the deal is. Out of sight out of mind is what happens once the client leaves, particularly when they are on vacation. So they must create a strategy to induce those clients to purchase that day. Otherwise, the company loses money. They start high and come to a point where the client feels comfortable to purchase. BTW, not all timeshare sales people are dishonest. Most are dishonest and just care about making the money not about the happiness of the client. I always sold with integrity. However, little did I know the clients were not getting exactly what I had presented to them. As a front line salesperson, you will not see the clients after the sale. If they return to the same resort, they will not see the original salesperson but given to a different team in a different area. You are correct, if the product is good enough people will buy. Trust is main issue in this industry. I resigned after increased pressure to lie. Now, I work for the consumer and write books (Everything About Timeshares) and design courses to help them cancel. Thanks for your comment, Brad.

How you resale an RCI? my wife and I are currently paying up the ass for this "timeshare" we got into last year all the money is going towards the interest, the monthly payment is just too much!

We got screwed signing up too, we paid for a year and the amount that we owe is not changing at all! So my husband and I just decided to stop paying, what we’re worried about is affecting our credit score but for some reason it didn’t show up on our credit score at all, of course RCI will be calling and harass you to pay them we just ignore them and just last month they sent us a letter saying that they are willing to buy it back.

First, RCI does not own any properties. They are merely an exchange company for the timeshare industry. Which property did you purchase and where is it's location?
@TimeshareCancellationMastery

It can only affect your credit score if the property is in the U.S. and has a balance attached to it. Where is it located?
