I loved listening to this interview! And I love Elizabeth‘s bits of humorous opinion sprinkling the story of her horrendous upbringing. I also thought- some people are made to outsmart psychopaths. Some kids bring a mix of intelligence, intuition and the ability to use logic and they can not be kept in a cage of crazy/horror. It’s so sad so many adults in cults don’t feel a parental responsibility, or instinct to protect anymore, or suppress their instinct. But smart kids grow up and the lucky ones will grow even more.

It’s definitely still here, even if Rama isn’t physically here. It’s creepy. They have people who sit in their cars in the ends of the driveways 24/7 and take down the license plates of anyone who drives past. If you go past more than once, they call the police on you. They still own businesses here in town and are 100% staffed by cult members. They also own several vacant buildings that are slowly being taken back but the city and either remodeled or demolished. I remember being a child and Rama’s hit list was released and my best friend’s dad was on that list because he refused to sell his business to the cult. But it was crazy because ironically it all seemed so normal.

But they were unable to prosecute because of the secrecy, cover ups and lies that Elizabeth explained in the second half of her interview. There are girls who have lived their whole lives in this evil man's home back east. He no longer lives in Shawano but controls those who do. I left in 1995, after 20 years, and have been unraveling the lies and deceptions for all these years. As Elizabeth explained, victims are listened to more now, but it can take years to fully understand the abuse you have been subjected to. Every time I hear the word "intuition" I remember hearing the priest in my grade school class telling us that intuition was the work of Satan, a statement that was meant to make us kids understand that we should seek out an adult/adult authority to know God's will. We were not suppose to believe our own thoughts, senses, observations. This is often how cults start, basically, distrust of oneself. It's not limited to religon, it occurs in workplace, social groups, schools.... I see in these cults links to narcissism & DV. Keep up your good work, both of you!❤

So uplifting to see your succes after! Not been in this cult but so recognisable...if been in high demand religion/abuse situation.. people will truly get "it"to a level others can't and we all can help and bring out the dimmed inner sparkle in each other again. I hope to help breaking the cycle, here All my respect and support from Europe!

Even though I never went through anything even REMOTELY resembling what was described here, I am teared up at and will likely carry with me for a long time the call for people to come forward regardless of what they've done because they will be forgiven. In groups like this that thrive on shame and guilt to keep people in place, it is such an important thing to hear.

"Us" feels like "the royal we" like he is calling himself a God King, which definitely tracks.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am so sorry you had to go through all that torture mentality and physically. 🤦🏻♀️😡just to think that someone can actually kill , rape and disgrace you is mind blowing and demonic. He definitely should serve life in jail without bond nor parole. I hope more people come forward and expose this disgusting crime. I am glad this woman has a support group. ❤🙏🏽🤗

Man... Imagine being on a plane, you see this distraught young 21 yo girl... What if... What if someone asked her if she was ok. Man... I am never again not asking someone if they are OK. On the bus, or the street, or a store if I think you're not ok, I am fucking asking.
