Having the map on the bottom left corner of the screen as you are walking along is good for reference if one is visiting the area and one wants to retake your steps to find places. Also showing the map you picked up in the bar. I liked your humor with regard to "cruising" for guys in the bathrooms of the park. Sounds like a great city.

Heyyyy I am a local in Yokohama and this was very insightful 😂 Gay scene here is a bit more of like discreet…I prefer going to Nichome for the open queer vibe…but Yokohama is always great city to walk around!

I lived there for 6 months and couldn’t find any info on the gay scene apart from it was apparently not very foreigner friendly. The siren call of Tokyo was too strong anyway. I loved living in Yokohama though. I’m with Meng. Best place in Japan to live.

With Andrew established in his 40s, you.should do a special about dating as an older adult in Japan. Are you more or less successful as you were 10 years ago? Is agism a thing in Japan? Etc..

I’m not even gay, but I subbed right away when I watched my first video from this channel, simply because the info is presented in such an informative & entertaining manner! 👏 As always, well done! 👍 You guys are both so likable & intelligent-my first guess is INTJ (Andrew) & ENFP (Meng), which makes for a great dynamic for brainstorming & creativity!

I'm from the US but lived in Japan for almost nine years (six of them in Tokyo). At one point I thought of moving to Yokohama for a change of scenery, but I didn't want to commute every day to work in Tokyo. Also, there's so much more happening in Tokyo. I was young then and didn't want to miss out! Would love to see a vlog on Omiya as well as Doyamacho in Osaka. Fun video, guys!

Love your vid as always. I second Pompommania’s suggestion of focussing also on gay life in Japan for older guys (40-70). It’s such a different world than for the 20-30 somethings, which is what your channel focuses on almost exclusively. Andrew in particular might start to be more sensitive to gay life as an older male. Just a suggestion, but your channel is always a breeze of fresh air. Thanks.

Your vibe here is different, you seems to be at home, and happier 🤗 I would love to see you guys coming back here and showing us around (not just the gay scene, but maybe areas/activities that you enjoy/we would enjoy as gays). Those types of vlogs, where you are discovering/exploring with us, showing us around new places, doing new activities, etc. I love those 😍 So I vote for more of this kind of content 😍🥰 Proof is, I wrote a comment 😁 💙

😭 why didn’t you make this video a year ago? I was living in Yokohama between September and March and we didn’t visit any gay establishments as we couldn’t find any information about the bars etc. We were warned that a lot of the bars weren’t very foreigner friendly and the siren call of Ueno and Shinjuku was too strong). We couldn’t get our gay Japanese friends from Tokyo to come down and escort us around 😂. It would be like asking someone from New York to go to New Jersey. I loooooved living in Yokohama (you were basically standing in front of my old house in Sakuragicho) I feel homesick for Yokohama often. Massive big city with tons to do but not crushed with tourists. I’d often go a whole day without seeing another gaijin, wonderful!

You Two are my fave Duo Team here on KZitem! You are both sooo funny, entertaining but at the same time very informative travel vlogs. Yokohama seemed like a beautiful city to visit for sightseeing and gays who are into "outdoor/public and men's room/toilet sex" might find your cruising tips appealing albeit risky. During my younger days living in San Francisco CA (Gay Capital of USA) I was very active cruising outdoors, parks and men's rooms/toilets; however, the fear of getting caught by the Police for loittering and illicit sex acts were definitely ever present so I Do Not recommend such risky behaviors - go to a hattenba instead w/c is more private and indoors! As always, Meng and Andrew NEVER disappoint and ALWAYS deliver the goods with their Travel Vlogs so with that said...Arigato Gozaimas to both of ya! Love 'ya Boys!

I was in Yokohama just last month, so this video came out too late for me! One big issue with Japanese venues is whether they allow or welcome non Japanese speakers. It is really sad if it is a wonderful place, but forbid non Japanese speaking people from entering. So complicated !
