It’s taken my 4inch pothos 1.5 years to stretch across my room. The progress I’ve had with my depression is substantial due to me bringing healthy plants home and caring for them. Great video concept!

Great video! Pothos are my absolute favorite plants and I feel like they're under rated. Some tips I want to add are 1. use a fertilizer with a higher nitrogen ratio rather than a balanced or a low nitrogen fertilizer. These plants are foliage plants and need a lot of nitrogen to keep producing beautiful leaves 2. If growing plants in water or hydroponics, avoid organic fertilizers because they'll make the room smell and unless you have them in an aquarium, there wont be the bacteria that help plants absorb the nutrients in organic fertilizers. 3. if you have several hanging baskets, rotate the baskets so all sides can absorb light evenly and also move them around from hook to hook in case some places get less light than others. 4. when cutting, don't cut way too close to the node because it'll make it grow slower in my experience and can also damage the node.

I used to be the type that couldnt keep anything alive but for the past year or so I've been collecting and falling in love with houseplants. I have a lot of pothos and a couple philos that have been thriving already (all my pothos are from one plant! Lol) but I still really loved this video. Soo educational, simple and easy to understand. Great recommendations but I love that it was explained that the brand doesnt matter and alternatives were offered. The whole video was just wonderful and I appreciate it so much.

Nice Video! Actual Garden Centers take better care than big box stores. However, the prices are higher and that is why many plant lovers go to big box stores. I love pothos and love to be soaked and then leave them alone until they look like they need water. Love your video!

Love Pike's! I just last week repotted the pearls and jade I got from them together with rooted cuttings from a previous attempt, and into a rePotme pot to boot! I liked the pots so much I ordered more right away with the pot sale they had going. Anxiously awaiting my philodendron squamicaule which is out for delivery today! Got it for an absolute steal ($40!) on etsy. Fingers crossed it handled the shipping well! tl;dr philodendron and pothos are the best!

This is kinda random , but in multiple vids Ive heard you say "pitcher plants are native to NC" , & that's not really true . Trumpet pitchers , in the Sarraceniaceae family are native to the Southeastern US & even parts of Canada , but Nepenthes are native to tropical rain forests , not the United States . I just wanted you to know that , since you are always filming a Nepenthes when you say that pitcher plants are not from the tropics , but rather NC .

So Ashley, What's the rule about allowing or removing philodendron flowers? They are ugly, so not really enjoyable. I ask bc my huge Verrucosum has a cluster of 3 on it. Will it harm the plant to remove them? Seems to me, they use the plant's energy that would be better for new leaves.
