Nice to see that Underoath is still around! I grew up in the same area in Florida where they're from and I went to many of their shows when they were still just a local indie band in the early 2000's. They played a show my church once.

My parents are from Ocala too. I saw em play the sun still sleeps at Tuskawilla roughly 2.5 years before they are only chasing.... between them and Relient K mmmhmmm those two bands changed soo much in that Era. I was new to Ocala in 2001. Thanks to a Nice Guy named Mikel Ryals.... he put me on to this band and the scene there early on. Soo much fun back then. I loved Sounder.

It's the KISS rig: Keep It Simple Stupid. I don't get complex rigs. I've always kept it down to a few pedals at most, an amp, and two guitars, one just for backup. That's as elaborate as I get. The guy in the vid says "Tone is not important. Energy is more important." I think there's something to that. The audience doesn't care so long as you play well enough and the songs sound good.

Actually just saw Underoath live last month with Periphery and Loathe. It was awesome getting to see UO live for the first time in 10+ years, but Periphery straight up stole the show.

@@MinutemanMedic It was funny because you knew who was there for what album. During songs off of They're Only Chasing Safety, the crowd was screaming along and going crazy. When songs from Disambiguation were played, it was all Quiet On The Western Front.

Oh please please please tell me you also got Loathe on this run! Also jazzmaster pickups don't suck, nor are they 'jazzmaster shaped P90s'. They're more akin to a flatter, wider strat pickup. Generally more output and treble but that partially comes from the rest of the JM electronics too

Totally get that, man. I think I’ve just personally had bad luck with JM pickups in my own guitars, I’ve never been much of a single coil guy. That said, I just ordered some new ones for my JM from Duncan so we’ll see if that changes my mind! Thanks for watching!

@@WCDudneyMD fully. The whole setup can be a bit noisy generally, especially when used for metal contexts as they have been recently, but with the right setup and chain they achieve some sounds nothing else can really do

No last minute tubes to swap due to travel, etc. No trying to get the mic positions just right. Lightweight fly rig. Every sound you could imagine and more. Why wouldn’t someone use one in this day and age. The convenience, consistency, and sound are all top notch!

The most practical approach I’ve ever seen in a Rig Rundown video and I love it. Keep it simple so u can focus on bringing the energy on stage. This is the way I would have done things 😏
