I look at Bynum as a success story. He was an undrafted, 5'10, shoot first pg that had an 8 year nba career including a game were he scored 26 points in one quarter, which I'm pretty sure is a Pistons record, that's amazing to me.

Absolutely. This guy went undrafted, was undersized and didn't even have that prolific of a college career, and was able to stick in the league for a while and become a solid role player. I don't see his growth as stunted at all.

I remember that Georgia Tech team in 2005 Jarret Jack, BJ Elder, Bynum and Ismail Muhammad, everybody in that starting line could dunk crazy! All games was crazy.

I remember seeing him on Preps:Chicago Hoops back in the day on Fox Sports. That’s how i found out about Eddy Curry too. Will was solid. Being from Detroit, i got the chance to see him play for the Pistons. Will the thrill. I remember him being on that Georgia tech final four team too.

Let me tell you….I witness his hs career close up. He played like a giant in high school. The Chicago red west was still arguably the best high school conference in the country when he played and he was dominant

That’s a fact the Red West was and still is the best conference. I also remember my cousin turning the tv to a high school game and all I remember hearing the announcer say was "Bynum" every single second. My guy was the truth way back when, even at GT and Overseas.

I use to love to see Will Bynum play because he was always underrated as a player and really didn't get the proper respect like how Nate Robinson did.He was always humble,quiet but deadly all at the same time

Always underrated and overlooked. Bynum was a favorite of mine to watch. He did have his flaws and some moves made, made his journey that much tougher, but he got it done.

I used to watch that show Chicago prep hoops on Fox sports almost every day it came on back in the early 2000’s lol That show was a hidden gem. I remember Will Bynum being featured on there along with Eddie Curry, Luther Head and Sean Dockery etc. Was proud to see Will make it all the way to the NBA and have a very respectable career in the league

I had a chance to play against this dude at the DePaul in pickup, he was like trying to hold water in the palm of your hand. And I consider myself a pretty good defender. It was ridiculous. He should’ve went to DePaul for college. You’re definitely right that he didn’t pick his schools intelligently

Definitely not. Undrafted, undersized, got to the league and was able to hang there for a but, creating a good role for himself. I'd call him a success.
