Macs Fan Control is what I use on my MacBook Air (late 2010). Before I downloaded the app, the model name was very fitting as the fans would ramp up all the way to 100% (6500rpm) within a few minutes of booting the system up. Now that I have a Mac Mini (late 2014) too, which is absolutely whisper quiet (literally, 1800rpm, lowest fan speed, even when doing a Cinebench render) I don't need to use Macs Fan Control anymore, but I use it still on my MacBook Air.

People assume software is cheap and easy to make, but it most assuredly is not. Compare that $15 to any other product you routinely buy and I guarantee that $15 is nothing short of a bargain. I don't own Bartender have no plans to ever buy it, but I do have an idea as to what it actually costs.

Sure, I have external hard-drives, external ssds and cloud storage still, but DVDs and blu rays are still a great storage solution. Not to mention, if you buy music and videos on a physical format you need an app to run them. I love your videos but I didn't get that scoff at DVDs.

Every time I watch one of your Mac apps videos I know they're gonna be good and this one was no exception! I've tried using vanilla in the past, though, but whenever I used a program that had lots of menu bar menus, I've found vanilla would actually block some of them since it's actually an overlay and anything that goes far enough to the right side of the menu bar will be hidden by vanilla. It's a solid app besides that though so I hope it's been fixed since I tried it.

Just a fyi for ppl who want to remove menu icons from the SystemUIServer (top bar that vanilla allows you to customize), some can be turned off in the settings app in the respective section, but you can also just hold down command and drag the unwanted icons off the bar. You can also add menu items by navigating to /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras and double click one of the files to add to the menu bar, some of which I can't seem to activate any other way so that's kind of interesting. Removing these files and killing SystemUIServer will also remove the menu item, which requires disabling SIP (System integrity protection) which is a very bad idea.

Very Nice Tips and I have incorporated some right now to my Mac ! Keep the good work! A Tip: To non-American fellows would be nice to put the app name with the numbering of the tip, Hocus Focus for example were not clear as another apps names were spoken as I remember. That makes easy to write down or search on Mac as we see the video (what I did).

My sister had all of these photos, that I was attempting to back up to a "fake" sd card which kept on failing. So, there are no backups of all of her photos, anywhere. Keka is inferior on PowerPC Macs, whereas it can't even handle certain .7z archives, which is the ONE thing Keka should be able to handle the best, yet it fails while The Unarchiver doesn't. Not an issue on Intel "Macs" since Keka is more updated for those, but even then, The Unarchiver, on top of handling everything Keka does, also handles other, more exotic formats that you otherwise can't, even on a modern, Intel "Mac". Great video as usual, btw!
