Of course! A lot has changed just in the last few years so I thought it’d be good to do a little summary. Glad you enjoyed it!

I take it the Velvia available now - when it is - is Velvia 100? I don't suppose they still make Velvia 50 do they?

I don't think they do. I have been to Japan 3 times between June of 23 and June of 24. I managed to buy a few rolls of fresh provia 100f and velvia 100, plenty of extra 400, Fujicolor 100, and a single roll of superia premium 400, but I did not see any Velvia 50. I went out of my way to check out as many camera shops as possible in Shinjuku, Ginza, Akihabara, and Kyoto.

They still make 620 film. I use 120 in my Holgas, Dianas and my Kodak Brownie Bullseye. I just have to modify the spools. So slide film is obviously not the best? Really? National Geographic photos was Schott on slide film only back in the day.

They also still make 126 casettes but film photography project makes a lot of niche items, for the sake of brevity and to keep the information concise I didn’t get into that. Slide film is fine, it’s more expensive to shoot and develop and harder to come by in today’s market and the most common stock (E100) hasn’t yielded the best results in my experience. Back in the day there was more variety and it was more of a supported medium but again it’s far from my first recommendation for people getting into film as color negative is more affordable and accessible.

@@RompingBronco I know of FPP. Many stores carry their film. Yes the 126 cassettes have 35mm film in them So it is easy to take it to a lab and process c41. And I have many rolls of slide film. I bought them when in date and before discontinued. In my fridge. I cross process all my slide film. And slide film exposure has to be accurate. And they recommend underexposing it to get rich colors.

@RompingBronco I may be daft, but I can't seem to find an email you've shared publicly on your website, or any of your socials... Am I blind, or stupid??

Couldn't you have taken out the 110 film at 5:50? I thought its in a cartridge on both "sides"?
@justinlosefsky2578

I'm guessing that would expose the center portion though, and waste a shot or two...?

There’s a paper backing but the front portion is the emulsion so it would have burned a frame which I didn’t really feel like doing haha

@@RompingBronco Ok, that's fair. Wouldn't want to waste a frame myself. Especially as 110mm film is sold from a monopoly.
