Ma'am, My son is nice with his friends. But when it comes to strangers it's slightly different. But he's fine. In games he is cool . But his studies are pathetic. Failed in all subjects

Hi, thank you for reaching out. We would encourage speaking to his school teacher to discuss an Individualised Education Plan to support him in his academics. If needed, additional support such as pull-out sessions or extra classes may be helpful as well.

Hi, we would encourage to find out what the function of the behavior is and to proactively put in strategies to prevent the behavior from happening. Reactive strategies for when she does engage in the behavior include ensuring that she is in a safe space (padded floors or providing pillows to cushion her head), extincting the behavior (not providing eye contact or much physical contact), redirecting her attention to other calming activities to keep her hands occupied and communication via visuals. We hope that this is helpful. Feel free to reach out to us at enquiries@autismmalaysia.com should you want to discuss more specific strategies for your child. Thank you!
