Triplets seem more flowing whereas the alternative mentioned seemed to be more clinical in it's strict form. I haven't thought about this stuff in years. Thx Alex!

I'm learning the drums and have not gotten to triples yet but I am trying to learn music notation and I enjoy how detailed you were in your explanations and not just identifying the different notes like most videos :)

Your lesson is good easy to understand but @1:40 the bass clef you are playing an A note your bass clef shows C note when playing straight 8th notes on the main screen before you played it on bass.. On the screen when playing @1:40 with no clef assuming you are playing bass that is an A note. When you @4:25 pickup the guitar you have 2 staffs of music on the screen. I am assuming the bottom is for guitar and that it is not marked with a clef it is for treble clef when you show the guitar part with the bass clef on this screen (showing a C note again not A note) if the bottom is for guitar (no clef given) if that is also bass clef then you have the right note A (wrong octave for guitar) if not I am assuming it is treble clef since the guitar is playing then that is an F note. I would fix that. For so many music theory tricks them up without being more confused.

Is there a song or a riff that one might recommend to capitalize on this?

@@staleyexplores Anything with a 6/8 or 12/8 time or a swing feel. These come to mind: We Are The Champions, Hallelujah, You're My Best Friend, Your Mother Should Know, Revolution, Julius, Oh Darling, Eliza, My Friend My Friend (this one is particularly interesting) - sorry, lots of Beatles and Queen and Phish in there.

One trip let, two trip let, three trip let, four trip let. I'm a drummer and this works best for me.
