That's what happens with many owners and CEOs of yesteryear. They garner success early in their careers and highlight by awards. But the problems is when egos get inflated and you have all those around you not giving the right criticisms needed to improve the product it comes to where McMahon and Jones of the like are at today.

When I seen Vince at the Survivor Series, I legit thought he was in his 80s. When I looked up and seen that he was only 75. I was shocked. Father Time has not been kind to him lately. It’s sad seeing him like that.
@pikkon899

Vince never looked that young for his age at any point. I've noticed that people who look young for their age when they are in their 30's and 40's tend to be healthier as time goes on. They seem to live longer. Also, I think Vince senior died before he got that old.
@bigb860

Like Solomonster has said over the years, I also think Undertaker should've retired after Wrestlemania 28. Sorry Punk fans, the match was great, but retiring 20-0 after a HIAC match with two of his best rivals - one as the opponent and the other as the ref --- and having that final shot of the 3 of them on stage together, would've been such a fitting end. Regarding McMahon, I have major respect for his work ethic and hussle but he's 75 years old. Go home, relax, and enjoy your golden years with the grandkids.
@Lord_Bibulous
3 жыл бұрын
Retiring 20-0 would've been good. But seeing as how the match with Punk was great *AND* the Paul Bearer element of the story was included. WrestleMania 29 would've been the perfect time to retire. The character had nothing else to prove. The win could've been dedicated to Paul Bearer and there you go. EDIT: Actually reading your comment again. You made a great point in that the ending shot with Undertaker, Michaels and Triple H would've been a good way to go out. They did call it "The End Of An Era". So really either scenario works, retiring after the end of an era match or a match dedicated to Paul Bearer. Can't go wrong.

As much as Vince is a problem, the true problem are the people who either genuinely enjoy or just begrudgingly watch and spend money on WWE.
@PrimeofPerfection
3 жыл бұрын
Those who begrudgingly do it are way worse. Those who genuinely enjoy it are welcome to. I don't agree, but I don't dictate their tastes. The latter, however... well, it's why I stopped. I was so bitter and angry with the show aside from some stuff in a vacuum such as The Fiend, then Hell in a Cell 2019 happened and just... I recognized that I had to stop. One of us had to change and it wasn't going to be WWE.

It boils down to the fact that Vince sees this as his life's work. It's all he knows. The idea to step aside and hand over his legacy to someone else must be the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard. He'd rather fail over and over again, than risk handing over the reigns to someone else that "might" do a worse job than him. In some strange way that's also kind of relatable, since many people who get to a certain age can't accept that their best years have long passed them by.

However, he's VERY past his prime, and he doesn't need to be in the ring, anymore. Also, vince should take a que from taker, and retire as well.
