Tim has been admitted to a mental health ward after a deterioration in his mental state. His key worker from the learning disability service has been away. Watch the first part of the film as the psychiatric team fail to understand, and display unhelpful attitudes towards, Tim, with serious consequences. Also, look for the different ways in which their assumptions about Tim are often damaging.
In the second part, they receive help and guidance as they assess Tim, helping them unravel the mystery of what happened to him and what is behind his distress.
Look for the positive techniques used to talk with someone with a learning disability and how these are helpful to Tim.
