Try using Berkeley PowerBait Minnow in the 3 or 4 inch for drop shot. Hook it through from eye to eye laying it on its side. When being twitched. The tail flutter imitates a dying fish. This bait never fails me. Everything from Bluegill, crappie, perch, bass, pike, Muskie, trout, catfish, to walleye will hit these PowerBait Minnows.

Oxblood red flake, margarita mutilator, and green pumpkin are the colors that work best for me in robo worms. Never got a bite on morning dawn in my lake. June bug, green punkin, black, red shad, any hue of purple, watermelon, on my home lake or you just don't get many bites. Now there's times for every color but normally, more often then not those are your colors. That reaction innovations bait and yums kill shot or warning shot whichever one it is, does ALOT better for me.

My stepfather stopped bass fishing a few years ago. He gave me all his soft plastics which are all from the early 2000s late 1990s. I found a bag of old bass pro ribbon worm style baits that kinda look like a dragon (I think they are discontinued) they float and bass crush them on drop shot. I dont even want to use all of them because they catch so many fish lol.

Some interesting observations between manufacturers, I would have confidence with any of these. I think the Smallie Smasher has some extra erratic action and is going to be a hot item in the near future. I also would like to see this particular series ran in water that's less than 50F, I'm sure there would be significantly more differences on video between their actions.

I usually cut down my 6 inch Roboworms to about 3 or 4 inches when I'm dropshotting. It gets me more hookups and less lost fish. The longer worm lets the bass grab the tail and run where as a shorter one makes it more likely the fish will have it entirely in his mouth.
